The Most Expensive Wax You Have Bought?

I know its 95% in the prep and many fight about the same product just placebo gets the better of them when the only real difference is the packaging and labelling. Others spend a fortune and as a result their brain automatically makes the paint look shinier.

Insanity...

Just proves how easy it is to separate rich people from their money if they feel like they are paying for exclusivity.

I've never bought uber expensive waxes, but have had some darn good waxes over the years. I have a "cutoff point". In which I do no believe some magic Zymol Ital, or any other will somehow come along and do a better job than what a can of colly 476 or 915 will do. I figure why cut hairs and torture yourself with more money out of pocket?

Nu-Look in Chicago. Heck, we're talking a gallon of liquid wax (Pink Magic) for $13. Looked better, and protected 10 times better than any Megs product I ever used. Their White Jelly Paste Wax, about $20 for 5 lbs in a metal tin. Loaded with pure Carnauba to the gills. My father in Chicago still has some of this never to be gotten again wax.

Been begging him to send me some of the old Nu Look products I had bought, but Chicago and me, and my family is like I might as well be Mohammed Atta this end. Doubt I'll even get a B-Day card for my 60th B-Day on the 12th, from any of my shytheel fambly members.

And that sucks big time, how screwed up America's principles and fambly values have become. "All for one, and one for none".
Ive used NuLook products . They were very good . There jelly wax was there effert to make a product that was the same as Slax Super Wax which was also made in the Chicago area. They came very close, and like Super X gave a very high gloss

Fuzion would make sense to me if the outlay was $95 without the need of having to pay double so you get a free jar. They would sell much more this way. But Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance sold for $200 in a fancy tub would have been the greatest sensation, its all in the marketing and presentation. The rest is placebo...

Sample size of Fuzion, cost per ounce is "kinda" high but one of the best lookin', easiest to use products out there:props:

Most expensive wax I have purchased was a 8oz of Chemical Guys Pete's 53, which over here in South Africa works out to around $60 based on the current exchange rate.

Can you imagine what Fuzion would cost us here? Probably R4000!

After buying and trying one of the 3oz pots of Fuzion I waited until just the right combination of sales to buy the "Estate" size of Fuzion.

Easiest to apply and remove of any wax type of product I have ever used. And a wonderful gloss too. I have waxes that last longer but the Fuzion is just so easy to use I have no regrets in getting it.

Plus I have tons of other waxes to play with, just about every Dodo one, all the different Collinite waxes, all of Sonic1's waxes, and so on. I just like fiddling around with different products. Plus I have even gone so far as to try making my own waxes. They all stunk. Not the other waxes, just the ones I tried to make at home.

Blackfire BlackICE $100
PBL Synergy - won as a giveaway
Polish Angel Carnaubaflockencreme Centurion (for Black Shades) $55
Coming Soon - Polish Angel Viking Wax...

I expected to see alot more Pinnacle Souveran users, guess many dont use it?

As the article says they turn people down. I'm one that was turned down to buy the 95k tub of wax. So 845 it is.

DP Max Wax has to be the most expensive "wax" I have purchased. I believe I got it on sale though, haha...

I really like the ease of application. And the way it looks after 2 coats is amazing.

Hows the durability?

The most expensive wax I own is Blackfire Midnight Sun. I love the shine, but it doesn't seem to last very long. I didn't buy it, but won it as a giveaway here on AG. Not sure I would buy it at it's present price.

Beyond that, I have my 845 and 476. Those continue to be a solid bang for the buck.

I can't even wrap my head around $95,000.00 container of wax. From the description, most of it is probably going towards that container.

At the moment, Swissvax Concorso. However I did buy it in an entry kit, so it was a small container.

I also use P21S Concours wax, and I love it. Both are easy to apply and remove, with Swissvax needing a coat of cleaner fluid regular prior to applying.

HUMP

I did break down and buy a pot of PB natty blue last year.

I like to splurge every now and again.

I think it pretty rare to find another person here that was familiar with Nu-Look, would certainly have to be fairly old school, and from the Chicagoland area.

Here's one that I do have on hand, this was a pure hard paste, lemon scented as Frank D'Amato seemed to like scenting everything, usually with his "Clean and Fresh" scent, which the whole factory always smelled like. This 1lb Can was only something like $10-$12.

I remember him making lots of odd-unique products, plethoras of all in one type products which the local detailing-car wash shops probably liked for speed, and ease of use.

A heavy duty liquid cleaner wax I remember was a good one, never seen a larger selection of perfumes, dressings. Was always like a kid in a candy shop in that place!

I know many expensive waxes are sold here, not saying that any of them are no good, quite the contrary. Because of limited funds I always try to convince myself that I don't need them.

Wolfgang Fuzion, I am just getting ready to apply on top of Wolfgang Sealant 3.0, I sure hope it is worth it.
