Love those rims

What do people think of those cars down there in general Dave

Most people don't even notice, the lady driving it was totally surprised that someone realised what it was. It's her husband's car, his third Cadillac, her car is an old Holden Statesman, as close as there is to an Australian Cadillac, and I told her I would have taken a picture of that if she'd driven that to the shops.

Just came to say same thing

I love those rims too, they remind me of these from back in 2000, Holden released an International badged Calais with a similar rim design, they were only 17 inch, but that suit this car perfectly. Roger will probably like this, the only engine option was the Holden version of the Buick supercharged 3.8 V6.

Where I live, we would often have both Holden and Ford protypes passing through town whilst doing development testing for new models, Ford especially. I remember seeing the then still to be unveiled FG Falcon passing through town on the way to work one morning, I nearly crashed with excitement. In recent years, you still occasionally see a camouflaged Ranger and Everest prototype passing through town.

Anyway, I mention this because one day at work, there was a brand new Cadilac out front in the carpark. Any Cadilac in Australia is a rare sight, but a brand new one even more so. It had LEFT HAND DRIVE TEST VEHICLE printed on the trunk and front bumper. I eventually caught up with the driver and it was a test vehicle that General Motors Holden were doing development work for.

At one point, Cadilac was on the cards for launch in Australia, with factory right-hand-drive. From memory, it had progressed so far that vehicles were on the water, but for some reason GM pulled the plug at the very last minute and the vehicles ended being sent to New Zealand. As for the black Cadilac in the carpark ended, well I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being crushed like most development vehicles.

There's a few cars around my area that have their windscreens tinted, completely illegal of course, and likely to cause issues with insurance if you're in an accident. I suppose they're lucky the police really aren't that observant.
That would fall under the car not being road worthy and insurance would be void.

A RWD platform using the S/C'd Buick 3800 would've been awesome here

From memory, they were detuned a little when they arrived over here, the SC V6 power output was too close to the HSV 5 litre V8 in use at the time.

Holden 5.0 V8 - 221hp
Holden SC V6 - 230hp
HSV 5.0 V8 - 248hp

Depending on the year/vehicle our 3800 S/C made 225, 240 and 260 hp, the later offered in the rare Pontiac Grand Prix GTX, can't remember if Buick had a version in the Regal of not, there were prototype GSX's I'm sure

At the BMV getting temp tags last week. It was super beautiful, but only 38°F. Those Pilot Super Sports do not like colder temps. Taking a downhill left-hander that's about a 70° angle or so upset the rear end and she slid out on me. No harm, just eye-opening. People probably went "typical Mustang driver".

So far my top pick for a personalized plate is something few, if any, will get. PI671A.
Performance Index 671 A-Class. The cars ranking on Forza Motorsport in my garage.
