I've seen that done more times than I care to remember. Shovels leave allot more behind than swirls.

Yeah, but think of all the paint correction that is going to be need this Spring. I have to get up to the northeast for Spring so I can make some money helping fix these people's shovel-marred paint jobs. Sucks though, but you just have to say it's not my paint job. Thank God. Glad I have a garage here in Va.

So happy to be in South Florida!! But then again the way weather has been down here, snow really wouldn't be to much of a shocker....

Unfortunetely Thje Law in NJ is you cant have any snow on your car when driving, oh and its also agains thet law to keepyour car standing.

no other way to get snow off.

Sounds like some politician from California making those kind of laws. Sorry about that.

I install auto glass and I had a customer come in to get a est on her New Cadillac Escalade

.....seems that her daughter took the shovel to it to scrape the frost off and scratched and gouged Every pc of glass on the thing

The est came to about $6,500

I've been seeing that all day here in NJ. We got hit real hard again last night. I have seen people use brooms, shovels, and all sorts of things that should NEVER touch the paint!:nomore:
Looks like us detailers in the Northeast should be busy in the spring!!

Hell yeah! :dblthumb2:

when my wife and i watch the news and see images of people brooming their cars, etc, my wife says "swirls, scratches and things" because i always accuse her of such : )

people just don't care. i guess they don't notice, but even before i knew anything about automotive paint or detailing, i still never hit up a vehicle with a broom or shovel.

I use a very soft brissel broom on my truck, its the best I can do. The car is tucked away in a garage.

How should someone remove snow on their vehicle??
