Will post more when I think of it , feel free to add. Oh and this goes without saying, politics and religion.

Do as I do. Don't click on threads that don't interest you

I like threads were ppl argue and insult each other myself. I've always thought that was the funniest thing!

I have a newbie question :)

If the car was actually re-painted yesterday would it have to be clayed today? If one is going to wet sand it and buff it out?

Maybe not so much about individual threads, but dilution ratio claims in advertising grind my gears. Advertising that a 10:1 ratio means that one bottle of product makes 10 bottles is a pet peeve. 10:1 makes 11. 8:1 makes 9, etc. 3:1 in a 32 oz sprayer is 8 oz of product, rest water.

Not to hijack, just going with the theme and venting. Tantrum over now.

Being a newbie myself I have found this place very welcoming. I am getting answers to my questions fast, and find it very nice. I am sure I will have more newbie (not dumb) questions, but I would hate to learn a bad habit and think I am doing well then months down the line have to reverse said habit. I am trying to buy quality products but still use what I have just because I have it, mostly autoparts store products but almost 100% meguiars, I always look for the tan bottles first.

By the way, what is wrong with Adams products? (again just trying to learn and not waste money, they are expensive)

I learned at an early age, if you could learn to double-clutch properly, most of the gear grinding went away.
:wow:

Learned it from my father.

He also told me not to get into arguments with nit-wits or dim-wits (if you'll excuse the expressions he used in the old days). He said, if you do, you can sometimes end up looking smarter than you actually are.

He also said you have to learn how to appreciate others' sense of humor.

When getting my rental for our vegas trip this week. All they had was the red camaro. So I said fine i'll take it that's all you have :dunno:

My kids football team won both games. They actually had to escort the other parent of the field. By the cops.

When they brought it up I asked is it automatic or manual? They said automatic. I then said ok perfect because I don't know how to drive manual lol.

So gear grinding has never been an issue for me  Thanks again DogFather :xyxthumbs:

don't know the difference between their, there, and they're.
can't spell (run a spell-check)
uses apostrophe (') for plural (car's, AIO's)
Agreed, but the ('s) form would be correct when using the periods: (A.I.O.'s).
overuse of ACRONYMS (or is that acronym's?)
can't tell the difference between too and to, off and of
saying off of (off of the roof)
men that say lol
can't punctuate
There is a startling lack of punctuation in your (not you're) post :)
clicking send (post) before you read it back to yourself

Overall, I'm just poking fun, but let's add the lack of capitalization to your list!

^ lol :D

I am actually debating if I should buy my wet/dry vac. Or get my steamer.

I think I am going to go with the steamer AG sells the mytee.

Yes, you're absolutely correct, I should have capitalized each bullet.
Bullets do not need a period unless complete sentences are used. I should have left the period off the first bullet.
Plurals never get an apostrophe ('), except when distinguishing the plural from something else (cross your t's, dot your i's); otherwise just append an "s" (A.I.O.s, M.D.s).
I'm jus' pokin' back.

"DO use the apostrophe to form the plural of an abbreviation that combines upper and lowercase letters or has interior periods:
The department graduated five M.A.’s and two Ph.D.’s this year."

from: When to Form a Plural with an Apostrophe

Though other sources state otherwise, that's the way I learned it thirty years ago. That is the ever-confusing English language.

WHAT ABOUT WHEN PEOPLE TALK LIKE THIS ON FORUMS?

I just don't let stuff get to me. A lot has to do with the mentality one has when they start typing.

Lol....Your gears aught to be about fully stripped by now... :dblthumb2:

Bad grammar really grinds my gears! Also, when someone spells a word like gears like this, GEARZ.

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online
