Ok, I want to take advantage of Pres sale. I'm going to get some Menzerna to try. I already have a good a good heavy cut compound. I want something for one steps, especially on black non-ceramic paint, that has medium swirl remover capabilities. I normally use CG V36 from their V Line polishes for this task, but am almost out and i have a few black cars coming up. I normally follow up with V38 on those "show" panels if necessary. Oh, it is applied with RA with Orange hex logic pad.

What say you?

Wolfgang Uber Compond(made by menzerna). Has a lot of cut, yet finishes excellent! If you applied it on black with a orange hex logic, you could quickly follow up with a finer pad and polish(wolfgang finishing glaze).

Menzerna Power Finish (2500). Outstanding one-step.

I was just looking at this and going to ask about it instead. I have Chemical Guys Blacklight, which has very mild abrasives that i feel that i can use in place of the V38.

Get the Wolfgang Trio. Its all made by menzerna and you can buy the bundle and save money that way.

It sounds like, FG400, Si1500, PF2500 and Sf4000 is where your money needs to be spent. I would imagine you know the cut can be adjusted with pad selection.

Blackfire SRC Compound has more cut and will finish better.

I have both and while black fire does have a tiny bit more cut, it does not work nearly as long or finish as well as Menz 2500. If the defects are typical swirls and marring, go with Menz 2500. If defects are heavy swirls and some oxidation, go with Menz FG400 or Wolfgang Uber.

You cant really go wrong with any Product from Menzerna...I have yet to be disappointed...I have been using their Polishes for about 5 Years now, SIP...will cause a dust storm, but results are killer. Nothing beats 85rd for Jeweling

Bump....what about the Blackfire duo on special? Can I get great results with DA? It mainly recommends rotary.

Wolfgang Über Compound works very good if you need that much cut.
I have the v line also but you can't compare it to the Wolfgang line IMHO.

Today I tested the Optimum Finish Polish, later I'll give a review later but I'll say this much now, it really made my black paint darker, more shine.
Only did the hood, I'll work on the rest later.

Back to the Uber......

If you have swirls or other paint defects than the Uber is something you may want to look into, it's the best finishing compounds I ever had the pleasure of working with:dblthumb2:

Ugh....ok. Maybe I should wait to see if they do a special on WG or Menzerna tomorrow.

FivePoint.O, have you used the Blackfire on black?

Yes, BLACKFIRE SRC Compound finishes very well on black paint. On hard black paint, you may not need to follow with a polish. On soft black, a second finishing step should be a breeze. It doesn't have the cut of Uber Compound, though. Uber Compound might finish just as good in most cases. I'm not positive about this, just a guess.

STR,

Does your head hurt yet...LOL. I think your wallet is going to be lighter than you thought.

Menzerna for an AIO, get SIP1500 or IP2000. Change the pad as needed and you'll be able to do 80% (or better) corrections on 90% of the cars out there.

Just make sure to work it completely through it's cycle and it'll finish down LSP ready every time.
