Now,I know alot of you have used WGDGPS. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. I'm suprised that no one has mentioned this as a Good sealant?
I've been using it for two years now and love it. But I don't think it outlasts KSG. I use it on top of 3 coats of KSG to produce more of a carnuba gloss, the "jetting" effect which is WGDGS's claim to fame so to speak. The "wax" looking shine that sealants like KSG don't normally have. And it works great for that. It really does give the "depth" for which it is named. But it does seem to wash off sooner than KSG.
It's funny, as I wash the car time after time the finish actually gets
shinier as the WG washes off to reveal the KSG. This is because WG gets it's effect by scattering light, which slightly blurs reflections. So as it washes away the images get crisper and more defined. I guess this is the "candy coated" effect of KSG that people talk about. On dark cars they don't like it but on lighter cars it adds much needed shine. Mine is a silvery metallic Grey so it works wonders.
Last year I had 6 coats of KSG on for the winter and about 3 months later I found a chip in the clear coat that I wanted to fix. So I took some 91% IPA and wiped the spot to remove the sealant and paint it. Well I wiped it and when the IPA dried it still felt slick and glossy! I had to wipe and rub three times before it seemed to have much effect.
So I REALLY like my KSG.

rops: and use it on everything. Rubber window trim, tail lights, glass, plastic, wheels, etc. I've got the third coat on my black plastic grill now ready to be buffed off. It makes it blacker, shinier, and smoother looking. No more water spots on the soft plastic.
I must say though that I haven't tried all that many waxes/sealants. I found something that worked and stuck with it...... so far.
