Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

Say, an hour after application.

I always put a sealant on top of the coating when I am done. This offers protection to the coating for the first day. Even if you tell the client not to get the car wet for the first 24 hours, many will not listen. So as a safeguard, I use a sealant in case the guy decides to go drive in the rain 5 hours after I am done coating his car ;)

Typically I use either CarPro Reload or Gtechniq C2V3. I have switched to Turtle Wax Ice as my sealant of choice so I used that for coatings too... and it doesn't seems to be a good idea so I went back to Reload.
But it has not had proper time to cure though.

Hey Everyone, Just want to clarify.

The Wax Shop products were created by
professionals for professionals. Myself and
the rest of my team have countless hours
on these formulas tweaking them to perfection.

These formulas
are completely separate from
any TW formulas.
Thanks for the clarification.

Ipso facto...
That still makes TW’s Shine and Seal
“thema non grata” on the AGO Forum.

JMO.

I guess my continuous praise (during the last
nine years) of their chrome polish and rust
remover, hasn’t been enough of an attention
getter/free pub. I’ll see if I can’t put forth a
little more effort in the future. :)

•Speaking of AGO “non grata” products:

I remember—back in the day—I caught
hell for recommending a few of P&S’
chemicals/products.

But throw in a certain affiliate name or two:
their products suddenly became (almost like
magic) AGO-mainstream.

•Can The Turtle achieve such heights?
Please stay tuned.

I’be seen a few products talked about in this forum not carried by AG. 1st one I think I’ve seen have its own posts though. Maybe it’s ok now? I’ve seen links been removed but not threads locked. Speaking for past 8-9 months.

Absolutely, no need for links anyways, if people are interested in something being talked about they can just Google it

What happened when you used TW over your coating that did not play well?

Anybody used this over a layer of Collinite 845? Currently using Sonax PNS with a monthly follow up with Sonax BSD. If this would work as well or almost as well over 845, I would be happy with the easier application and slippery texture.

Aw, c'mon Rog....... No pics???

And to think I've just been ignoring it because it says Turtle Wax on the bottle,,,I have a couple of other off the shelf at Walmart products I use so why not another :D

I used it over Essence on The QX60 I just posted about in show and shine. I washed it afterwards to ensure no streaks were left and it beaded water like crazy. Slick too.

Well, people at PBMG are not idiots. If people like a product because it performs well, it is in their interest to carry it in their stores.

TW used to have only crappy products. Now that they have top quality ones, it would make sense for Autogeek to carry it as detailers and enthousiasts will start buying it. If the product is not available here, they will buy somewhere else... why loose a sale?

Nah...but I should've tried some beading pics though, sorry Paul. Btw how are you feeling

Next time! Lol

Like I got rear ended at 60mph, but better. Lol. Thanks, Rog. :)

It created high spots, so I had to polish them off and re-coat. Thankfully, it was a repair job on a coating, so only 2 pannels had to be re-done. If I had done an entire car I would have been really pissed ;)
