So this morning I decided to tackle the scratches that were on my Lexus that I just got. I only used a Meg's round foam applicator pad to buff out the scratches. I think it looks great!
Meguiar's UC:

I also decided to tackle the small scratches that were on the trunk by where the trunk release button is. On that I decided to use Griot's polisher with an orange 3' pad.

Pics were taken with my phone so nothing too crazy.

Great job Gio!! Those are nasty scratches by the door handle. UC with a foam applicator pad did a great job. UC is indeed an amazing product!

megs uc is a sleeper product and considering how aggressive it can be, it finishes down very well on many paints...

Thanks Marc! Yeah the front doors were the worst. The combo did awesome!

Yes it does. I really liked how good it worked on the scratches.

You did good making short work of those scratches! Much better!!!

Meguiar's #6 was always my "go to" for those scratches underneath door handles. Great job

I usually don't need more cutting power than what UC offers. I love the entire Ultimate line.

Well done. I now know what to try when I detail a few cars next week :)

No. M6 is a cleaner wax and UC is a compound. UC is derived from M105.
Ah got it!

It is good stuff. I have their wax and polish also.
Soft paint can be very forgiving. ;) Nice job, nonetheless.
Thanks!

Thank you!
Job well done buddy!
Thanks bud!

I've seen scratches on those areas where nothing short of 3M SD would remove them. Ughh!!! I've found it to finish quite well in those cases and not nearly as "rocks-n-a-bottle" fearing as some have made it out to be...on black no less. No issues at all using more modern 3M compounds and/or polishes as well as M105/M205 to refine the paint even more. In most cases where the 3M SD was called for or needed (where M105 wouldn't touch it), M205 then refined the paint nicely. Just another reason besides gel-coat to keep some 3M Super Duty around.

Just from reading posts and doing some KB research Mequiars products have alot of great sleepers. Mequiars needs more luv :)

Meguiar's does indeed make great products.

Lots of people, including myself, complain about one popular product dusting, M105. While that is true, it still does it's job. It finishes nicely and when a work horse is needed that'll finish nearly lsp ready, M105 cuts like a beast. If you need cut and fast, then no need to look any further than Meguiar's M-line-up of products.
