Well... I got my Rupes 21 in!

Sorry to hear that. I thought one of the biggest selling features of the Rupes was the 'safety factor' it provided. I guess not?

It is safe but it is also not "PC" safe. It was just a practice panel from the junk yard. :buffing:

There you go. Glad to hear it was just a test panel. It's good info for anyone considering this machine though that it is still possible to do damage with it.

Would you consider the Rupes PC safe with light pressure?

Aren't we going in a big circle here? If the thing is going to correct like gangbusters it's going to be inherently less safe than a machine that doesn't do as much correction, isn't that so?

Roshan, how do you like the total system of the rupes. Their pads and polishes with the machine. I passed on buying the polishes because I just ordered sonax perfect finish, but I did buy the bunch of yellow and white pads as that was recommended on esoteric's webpage as the best pads to use with sonax perfect finish. KB was easy and great to work with. He responds really fast to texts and emails even at 9 pm pst. I did get the bag too. I hope that it can fit my 50 ft extension cord, at least 8 pads, and 3 or 4 1 liter or quart sized polish bottles and some extra mf towels. Do you think it will fit? If not I was thinking about getting another bag. Maybe the swissvax one. I'm been obsessed with swissvax and auto finesse stuff lately. You should check them out if you get some high end detail jobs. I know that you'll be doing correction work a lot faster with the rupes. Get some mf pads and m100 or fg400 and they will cut through anything. Even the bentley with super hard paint that I was working on with my friends rupes 21 fixed the super deep and big RID quickly. I wouldn't use it on most japanese cars or ferraris or porsches. It might burn through it.

Awesome, Roshan!

Even with the KB washer mod, the machine will bog down on non flat panels. However, with such a large throw, you still getting great correction. You don't need an 850 watt motor because of the large throw.

If you say so. You can damage paint with a PC.

I wish I could say I've tried it out... but I still haven't :( <--- sad face x 1000!

As far as the bag, if you see my video, I actually show the entire contents of the bag. It's quite large!

I hope it's everything it's made out to be, because I just spent a small fortune on it hahaha

I do have some MF pads, M100 and M101, and a Rupes 21... so I think I will have some really hard hitters in my arsenal now Im the MAN

Mark , did you get a Rupes 21 ?

Roshan let us know how you like the Rupes pads. I just got the polisher but am curious how the yellow and white pads work.

Absolutely 100% safe.

I was using the most aggressive pad , the most aggressive compound, LOTS of pressure, and plenty of time. It was a test case on a test panel. I do LOTS of those before I dare touch a real vehicle with a new system.
