Friday night we did the first of SEVEN Garth Brooks concerts in Atlanta, at Phillips Arena. What a killer concert! Spent the day in town, got a nerve block at 1:00, had authentic neapolitan pizza at 2:00, followed by imported gelato and kicking back in Little Italia (can't read a lick of Italian, so the menu's were a point an grunt affair). :laughing:
Not a bad night that one was! Show started late, but it had a set from Garth, then Trisha Yearwood (who was celebrating her birthday as well as her hometown is close by) was joined by Kelly Clarkson for a few songs together. (
I wouldn't pay to see Kelly, but it was a pleasant surprise during the show.)
That video is going to be a must have Blu-Ray!

George Strait - The Cowboy Rides Away
Managed to catch this one on CMT not long ago. They didn't really advertise it, I just happened to find it. I've seen where a lot of areas it didn't even play!!!!!
FWIW I search CMT, AXS-TV, MGM-TV, Palladia-TV and Audience Channel for concerts VERY regularly, and find a LOT of cool shows! :dblthumb2:
Anywho..... this was a killer show, (even though I'm not a huge follower of George Strait).
George's final concert in Dallas, over 106,000 screaming fans, EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY, 40 songs, with 20 - #1 Hits in the set list. The guest list included; Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert & Martina McBride.
Another Blu-Ray that I'll be looking for! :dblthumb2:
