don't really listen to any new bands out these days, they aren't doing anything new and if anything are doing a terrible job at re-hashing older bands styles. one band that has always been top in my books is Snapcase (IMO the Helmet of hardcore)from Buffalo, NY (unfortunately, broke up like many good bands do). they are all intelligent/smart and sing songs with meaning and not some gibberish like many do...

another classic hardcore band (Quicksand) who got back together, IMO the Tool of hardcore...

this another excellent album with the all-star line-up from various hardcore/punk groups that unfortunately broke up not to long after the album was released (they signed to a major label/Sony which didn't do to well not surprising since major labels do not know how to market such bands). this is such an underrated album and one of my favorites and I love it (listen to it from start to finish). it's members are from various bands such as cro-mags, quicksand, helmet, and iceburn/jets to brazil....
