Nope. Just see a freshly washed Lotus. Not seeing anything special.

I use whatever sealant I feel like picking up. But for silver it's always Z2.

Yet, somehow, I have this distinct feeling that if I told you that I had 10 layers of the amazing, incredible, fantabulous Zaino Z2 on it, you would chime in on how great it looked!

I use whatever sealant I feel like picking up. But for silver it's always Z2.

As the saying goes, use what works for you. Some people do prefer the saran wrap look.

No. Because I know how Zaino looks on silver. Honestly the Lotus looks clean but it doesn't look "waxed" to me and certainly not Zainoed.

So, let me see if I have this straight: you prefer the look of Zaino on silver paint over Jeff's Werkstat, a product that you have never used, based solely on the pictures that I posted?

I used Zaino for years on my silver RX-7. I've used Jeff's Werkstat for years on my silver Lotus. Not the same cars so no direct A/B comparison obviously, but I would say that my comparison of these two products, over years of use on silver paint, gives me just a *tad* more credibility on the issue than you and your attempt to make a comparison based on compressed jpegs on the net.

Let's see you post some pics of your 10 layers of Zaino'd silver bliss!

I like the fact that you have experience with both zaino and werkstat. I was originally gonna go with zaino, but wanted to try something different on my metallic silver. I have a feeling this sealant will look good on all metallic paint regardless of color. I'll make my own judgement when I get it.

Post the RAW files if you are so worried jpg is the cause of your lackluster look.

I don't go above 5 layers with Z. No reason to, sorry to disappoint you. I also don't need to try AJT to know (from your oh so compressed jpgs) that I prefer how Zaino looks on silver.

As far as your "comparison", WHAT comparison? That Zaino looks like "saran wrap" to you? You've not boasted any properties about AJT you like JUST that you like it.

That's not a comparison, that's a remark about a product you discontinued using for a product you are presently using with no given explanation as to WHY.

I'll make sure to post RAW files since you claim the compressed JPG's are the reason the Lotus doesn't look "blingin".

Why don't you go ahead and do some post processing (doctoring) on your JPEG's to up the gloss next time? ;)

Oh, but you're the one that insinuated JPG isn't the best way to evaluate a picture (which is true since JPEG's often soften photos a good bit), so I'm waiting for your totally awesome RAW shots of the Lotus first.

But now that I think of it I might not have had a camera that did RAW the last time I did 5 layers of Zaino on silver. (I haven't owned a silver car myself in about 6 years now) So you might have to wait until I do a job where the clients requests Zaino from me.
 
Do you guys realize you are arguing about something that can hardly be proved and is simply each of your opinions? I think it's time to agree to disagree and maybe accept that you each feel differently about the product used on your particular application.

I already said I agreed that I felt differently about Zaino than I do about AJT. Rob just got his thundies in a bunch when I remarked that the Lotus didn't look "RAWsome" with AJT (IMHO).

You'll have to excuse him, he's used to people over at Autopia digitally fellating him whenever he speaks/posts.

Dude, you are the one who keeps digging his hole deeper and deeper by trying to say that Zaino is better than AJT on silver without ever having used the latter product.

You're the one blaming jpg on it's crappiness not me. Secondly I don't need to own silver to Zaino them for my clients which I do a few times a year.

I'll post pics when I have RAW of silver to post. (since you hate jpgs and use them as a scapegoat. )

From purely a visual perspective i prefer Zaino. But that's the jpgs fault, right?
