What Detailing Products Have You "Settled" On??

From purely a visual perspective i prefer Zaino. But that's the jpgs fault, right?

You sound like a broken record, but repeating something that I never said doesn't make it true, does it?

Stop trying to evade the point.

If you missed it, here it is: you believe that you can make a proper comparison of two different products (one of which you have never used) based solely on looking at a jpeg picture on the internet.

That *is* what you are saying, correct?

No, actually, that's *your* fault for being under the ridiculous assumption that you can make a meaningful comparison of two different products on two different cars based solely on pictures of one of the cars posted here.

If you don't think the pics look good, fine, no problem. I obviously didn't motivate you to try AJT. But to say that Zaino is better on silver based solely on those pics is pretty sad.

Look, you're the one that's blaming jpg compressing on what I think are lackluster pictures. You're not posting RAW to show me it's not just some wonky JPEG compression causing it.

I never said AJT applied whacky, I never said it streaked, all I said was that FROM YOUR PICTURES I see nothing special and ON SILVER I think Zaino looks better ON SILVER.

When people post a picture of a car (IN JPG FORMAT, NO LESS) and it's got that obvious "Zaino Saran Wrap" look, can you not tell that Zaino is what's on it? (before it's actually said by the OP?). I can, there's no photoshop trickery for that. After looking at hundreds of thousands of detailing photos over the last decade + I can spot Zaino (my preferred Sealant ON SILVER) a mile away. Why is that? Because of the characteristics it shows EVEN OVER A "COMPRESSED JPG" photo.

So, yes, I'm saying I'm comparing the look of your Lotus with AJT to the look of ANY silver car posted online covered in Zaino and saying I like the way Zaino looks MORE than AJT does on your Lotus.

Hard to believe right? OMG PREFERENCE. I never said AJT was crappy, I never said JPG's were crappy (you blamed jpg compression).

If AJT was sold anywhere but direct, such as here at AG or the other vendors I'd use, I'd pick it up just so I could play with it. It's only $15 bucks and if it makes me eat crow I'd be more than glad to admit it. But I'm not gonna spend $10 to ship $15 worth of product since I'm not interested in anything in that product line other than AJT for comparisons sake.

Or if you want to send me a sample, I'll still be willing to eat crow if I apply it to a silver vehicle and think it's better looking, easier to apply, or anything. I've got a couple silver cars I deal with regularly so it wouldn't take long to post my thoughts.

You like AJT and you've used both, AWESOME FOR YOU! But I don't need to USE it to see that I don't like the way it looks better than something else I already have in my arsenal.

I'm not going to list a whole bunch of products.

I'm way too fickle for that.

I just buy anything new and fall in love all over again.

Come on AG. Get us that unobtainable Optimum Sealant that Mike talked about a few months ago.

Great, thanks for making it crystal clear: you think you can do a comparison of different products on different cars by looking at pictures.

You *are* good.

When it comes to LSP and visual appeal, absolutely. The rest, not so much. Obviously I can't apply it by looking at pictures, so I can't comment on that. Along with all the other attributes that require you to use them first hand.

Im the MAN

As an example: You don't have to meet/touch/buy dinner for Alyssa Milano to know she's good looking, do you?

Furthermore, you don't have to meet/touch/buy dinner for Lisa Lampanelli to know Alyssa Milano looks better than her, do you? Pictures are quite telling from an appearance only standpoint.

You're seriously telling me you can look at these two images and you can't deduce which one looks better?

Top Pic = Wolfgang Products.....Botoom Picture = Zaino Products LOL!:nomore:

Nothing beats Z2 on a silver vehicle IMO. I used it on a metallic silver GMC Sierra the other day and it looked amazing.

That AJT stuff is okay, but nothing great.

My current favorites i need are.

Wolfgang total swirl remover and finishing glaze.
DP Policoat (looks great on silver BTW)
ONR
Opti Bond
Pinnacle Liquid Soveran

I have DP Poli-Coat and Z2. I "Used" to feel the same way about silver until I tried the DP PC... I like the DP Better..FWIW.:xyxthumbs:

Have you ever used WDGPS? I tried a sample today and it looks great on metallic silver. Also, it's VERY EASY to apply and remove, even if applied heavy.

why does Z2 change from pink to neutral color after about a year. I used some the other day and it seems to be doing ok, just a color change.
