What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

working on a bike now and the brushed aluminum and wrinkle black wheels came out really nice and clean, ordered a bottle of Gyeon Quartz Rim to protect and help the owner keep them clean

Vacuumed the FJ, I really shouldn't be surprised what I find under the floor mats, I eat lunch there most days. After vacuuming I wiped the floor down with Mother's Interior Detailer, then sprayed it again and scrubbed it with a brush, then wiped it again.

I LOVE vinyl floors!

OLD SCHOOL on her Escape! Been years since I hand waxed a vehicle. She wanted TW Paste and got it. Full blown detail in & out. She did help.

After all that, normal maintenance wash on the ZR2. A little tired. Did I mention it's MILLER TIME!

Another ONR rinseless on the Mav today. Drove it after a brief rain shower yesterday and had a little grime on it as a result. Want to stay ahead of keeping it clean until I have time to coat it.

Finally had a moment to polish the vette and coat it with BC2 for winter. My youngest gives the glass 2 thumbs up!

They aren't made of glass anymore- its a composite material, I forget exactly what year was the last for fiberglass, but its been a few decades

Either way-- it looks good!!

Is that a Z? -- or ZR1?

Finally got a chance to break out the Polytrol and give it a try on my trim. If I can get 6 months out of it I will be happy.

I cant post pix anymore because they always 100% of the time show up sideways- so I have given up / quit trying to post pix

Thank you!!

It is still mostly fiberglass I believe. Not sure when they switched over. It is a Grand Sport. ZO6 body and suspension, but with a regular Stingray motor.

Its a beauty for sure- but I dont think there is much if any fiberglass in them anymore. I use to keep up with that when I had them back in the day.

I will ask over on the corvette forum- should get a pretty accurate reply from them- though they can be somewhat aloof over there @ times

An Aloof Corvette owner, no way (and not directed at you). Atleast you've got the last good lookin' Corvette right there I bet you don't have a director's chair that's the same color as your car, NB gym shoes, jorts w/ a belt and t-shirt tucked AND holster for your phone and finally a sign telling everyone about a fairly new car either

Quick rinseless after it stopped raining. I'm sure it'll be dirty again once I drive it since the roads are wet but I'll be washing again next weekend before cars & coffee on Sunday.

Used the EGO with stubby nozzle to blow off some of the rain on the car. Then used the Tovia plant sprayer for presoak. That's still showing 91% charge after a few washes. Then the EGO again to dry followed by a PFM.

The stubby nozzle definitely helps. One thing I didn't anticipate was how loud it would be when drying the roof and having the EGO right by my head.

MINI is a little dusty and been driven a little. Opticlean plus Optiseal saw it sorted for a while.

Ear protection is a must with one.

It was a gloomy, rainy and VERY windy day yesterday and the EN sat and took it like a champ, today was a "get right" day

Before my daughter and I headed to McD's for lunch (her treat via a Halloween gift card) we headed to the touch-free wash but I grabbed my trusty IK Foam Pro 12 filled with Bilt-Hamber Auto-Foam. Once at the carwash I squeege'd the windows and then foamed the entire car, twice, even the tires/wheels and wells. I then got in the wash and drove about 20 minutes on the freeway, nice and dry once we got to McD's.

Once we got home I did a load of mf towels and then got after the EN some more. I grabbed my bottle of DG Aqua Wax and went around the EN. Now I just applied Adam's ceramic graphene spray coating last weekend but since the "Indian Summer" is still going I'm taking advantage of it️This product is legendary here on AG and its so easy to use and looks amazing, should POP even better after 30 minutes as that's what it always did

I then sprayed N914 WW on the tires and wheels and gave them a good wiping. To finish up I applied Auto Fanatic MEGA Gloss on the X-ice's and it finished out nicely, not MEGA GLOSS but that's ok

I'll say this about the Bilt-Hamber pre-wash, during the double soap and rinse the beading was absolutely INCREDIBLE This product flat out cleans like no other, I'll never buy another pre-wash after using Bilt-Hamber Touchless and Auto-foam (unless it's a simple dust removal in the spring/summer/fall, then your basic, easy going pH neutral soap is ok)

Played with my new foam canon and pressure washer as part of the second wash before coating. It was: IronX, Lift foam, Reset wash. Foaming was fun but I remember why I much prefer rinseless.

You can tell the dealer listened and they didn’t put anything on it.

And video…

Removed some bird poop from my hood, it was a round splotch almost 2 inches across, so something big dropped it. I used some Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine that I keep in the FJ for such emergencies.
