What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I did something to a bike I've never done before.....i renewed all of the plastic trim

normally, I can get plastic trim pieces on a bike really clean and looking great by just washing and wiping them down

I'm doing a '21 Street Glide and it had a plastic inner fairing, some trim around the air intake, and small cowl around the oil cooler

the plastic started out looking pretty great, but I decided just to do the cowl down below, if I felt the difference was big enough, I'd do the rest

cameras really don't do it justice, but it made it look better

the difference was so subtle, I hesitate to put a before and after up, but here it is

when my wife came out into the garage, she lit up and said she couldn't believe the difference in how dark, rich, and new the plastic looked

I used Solutions Finish Black Trim Restorer

Glad your wife noticed so quickly as I thought that was an after and after photo set as I couldn’t identify any differences. :)

Took advantage of 65 degree weather and put on another coat of Cerakote and did a total interior detail to prepare for Winter

when I did the cowel, I should have left a section undone.....I need to up my game on lighting and photos.....i know you can't see, but I promise it's not a flea circus :) ....the deciding factor in doing it was when i read that it not only brings back the black, which didn't need to be brought far, but also protects

i decided to try Rags to Riches for cleaning my MFs...until now, i've been using Free and Clear and they have coming out good, but I'm seeing some others use products made for MF care and thought I'd try it

Were the results better and Free and Clear? That is what I've been using for years

I had the FJ in the garage, so I gave it an ONR wipe down, prior to giving the trim some attention. I wanted to start fresh, so I wiped the trim down with Carpro Eraser. Next I went through my shelf to figure out what to use. Do I want it to look good, but not last as long, or should I go for longevity over looks. I went with the latter, so I used Mother's Ceramic Trim Restore & Coat. Easy to apply, long lasting, but it doesn't have that brand new look. I did the ONR wipe down this afternoon, but while I was working on the trim tonight, we had a thunderstorm going on outside, I guess it's staying inside tonight.

NOTHING! Rain here too from hurricane Nichol. Sadly, moved all my stuff to the heated portion of the basement today. And made a list of must haves for next spring.

Rain here as well for two days now. So i cleaned 30 pads and inspected/put away a big load of microfiber towels. Also took a quick inventory, and am making a 3D order for restocking purposes. Also needed a replacement supa beast backing plate. Gotta snag their sale.

Now ready for upcoming sheen work.

Polished out my first Bentley last week though. It had gotten body work and full respray.

Just a maintence wash after 2 days. Grabbed the IK Foam Pro 12 filled w/Bilt-Hamber Auto-foam and headed to the touch-free wash. I'm still blown away how this product consistently makes the water beads so small and tight, it's crazy ️Drove home and dried it off, touched up the rims and added a coat of Auto-Fanatic MEGA gloss to the tires.

Now it's time to sit down and watch how the Lions will lose today

It’s your coating. BH is just getting it clean right down to the coating.

Just know all those touch Free’s and Alkaline prewash will probably shorten coatings life. Top it with CC or Moonlight yearly and your golden.

It has toppers of Gyeon Q2 Wax, 303 spray graphene and Adam's ceramic graphene spray coatings as well. Your right about the strong, pre-wash used at the carwash, not to mention a weekly or every other week use of Bilt-Hamber pre-washes

I'll be topping up the coating in the middle of winter as I usually go to my buddy's graphic shop to do a good, mid-winter hand wash and booster, like 303 Touchless and speaking of that product, it too was applied to the EN after Gyeon Pure EVO wad applied on Sept 13th

During Lions vs. Bears halftime I went out and applied this to the EN's trim bits. After a couple minutes I took a round, cotton applicator and leveled it out. This is an outstanding product, equivalent to Adam's In & Out spray
