What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I did a decontamination wash and clay (with Autoscrub) in preparation for polishing and coating this week. Since we can’t go anywhere I’ll take my time and maybe be done by next weekend.
Syncro is still pretty good on my car (18 months later), even better after iron X, clay and McKee’s coating prep wash. But I have some marring to address, a couple water spots, and also the places where I used Dr Colorchip now appear to have no protection, very noticeable when rinsing. I guess that solution used to level/blend the paint also ruins the coating.
I’ll be using UK3.0+Gliss v2 this time. Cheaper than Syncro and I was happy with that on my wife’s car.

Easter Sunday was time to refresh the engine detail on wife’s car. Did over a year ago and was just a light dusting
Used Sonax Plastic Care, was really easy to apply

Not bad for a 5-year old car
Rest of day was hand wash with Wolfgang SiO2 wash

After a 12 hour day at work, I came home and washed and waxed my wifes 2014 Terrain. I topped the previously applied Collinite 845 with Seal & Shine. Turned out nice. Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Maintenance wash for the Ranger today.

And because I'm a complete nut job, after finding two stray leaves and a layer of dust in the engine bay, the whole thing got a detail.

I can rest easy tonight!

Today I spent a glorious two hours with the Mustang.

Just a maintenance wash but with the Australian Autumn weather being absolutely beautiful, it was so nice to out of the house. It's such a shame that we can't take advantage of the amazing weather at the moment, not being able to travel freely.

I took this shot, as the sun shone brightly, to capture that happy moment.

it's official, DFB has the cleanest cars on AGO. ;)

p.s. hope the four legged family member is doing well! :)

Thanks for that, they give me so much joy.

Four legged friend is doing so well, just about back to normal. So grateful to have him by side.

So...since this is what my morning looked like TWICE this week, the FNW was in full effect. I pre-treated the tires and wheelwells with Alien Kleen and let sit. I then used Brake Buster on the tires/rims and used the usual 4 brushes to clean them. For the wash I used Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash and I'm almost out of it, LOVE THIS STUFF. Dried the car with the DPC Sucker Jr and then used the Master Blaster Jr on the tires and wheels, as well as all crevices. Once dried up I thought of my buddy Eldo and applied TW tire coating to the tires, 1 coat for now, maybe a 2nd tomorrow, not much else to do

The TW Seal and Shine and their spray wax is holding up and looking great in think, although last "topper" was Griot's Garage Poly Gloss but what's really holding up there are the 2 TW Ice products, can't wait to try the HS Ceramic on it soon!

Hope everyone is holding up, I'm going for a ride tomorrow, I don't care, I mean what's the difference between a 10 minute ride to the grocery store or an hour drive

Finely got to have a go at the water marks on my Mum's Qashqai, ink blue, and left outside 24/7. Still trying to make room to keep it in the garage since we moved, but made enough room to work on it. Gave the hood 2 passes with Scholl S3, reasonably happy with the results, see below. Still have to do the roof this afternoon. View attachment 69275

Right! You’ll encounter way less people on a drive than a grocery store

That’s how my morning looked twice this week UD. Hopefully you still get to make some snow yourself this weekend!

I applied Gliss to the paint (did 2 coats of UK 3.0 yesterday). I also coated wheels’ faces and windows today. Tomorrow it’s trim and final touches. I’m tired.

Gave the daily a good wash, a quick Autoscrub, and some H20 Guard and Gloss to help with the storms coming tomorrow (I live in GA) I'm patiently awaiting for some pads and polish to arrive so I can polish her up. The wash today and the state of the wheels has me contemplating some lowering springs and new wheels.
