What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Commissioning the 2 Pass RO and DI water skids for when I need that extra purified water for washing my car at work lol. Already asked for a water hook up for a power washer

I had a few minutes free this morning so I did a quick rinseless wash using ONR Wash and Wax...I’ve had it for about a year and decided to give it a try since I have Wax on the car.

Did I mention it’s going to rain today? I didn’t care, it was dirty!

I have some new Waxes coming in today and next week...looking forward to the next “adventure of a noob”!!

Washed my not so daily daily driver. It was a little dirty and I was also anxious to try my new GTechniq Crystal Lacquer. Easy to use product.

Lock Down Day 1 -

Crappy wet day. After spending a few days working outside in it, I had no intentions to do so on my own time today!

Engine bay detailing it was then!

First up was the Jaguar, I have not given this car any attention under the bonnet for a while. Used APC, ONR and Chemical Guys VRP for this one.

Then onto the Ranger, which was a fair bit grottier than the Jag. Again, APC and ONR but with 303 instead of VRP.

I get a great sense of satisfaction and pride from keeping engine bays this clean. I can only imagine the Tech's who work on them appreciate the effort too.

The Mercedes looks GOOD!

DFB: killer engine bay results. I think maybe I should do mine after seeing those beauties.

Jayfro: That Acura is looking classy after the wash. Which new waxes did you buy? I’m still a sealant and wax fan.

I have Black Widow and Blue Velvet Pro coming as well as Future Armor and Red Detailing Mist (think that’s the name).

Black Widow was supposed to come in yesterday but PBMG via Amazon sent Diamond White instead...working with them today to have that corrected, they’ve been very helpful too.

I’ll probably start a thread on it later today or this weekend seeking advice.

Excellent! Can’t wait to see results. I really like Dodo Juice.

We’ve been getting hammered with rain and the dirt road is a mess. I cleaned the garage floor today and didn’t want vehicles bringing that mess in here. So I sprayed all the mud from out of the wheel wells/undercarriage and off the paint and will let them sit in the rain for awhile before I bring them back in.

Got a Boston Butt on the smoker, too.

Lock Down Day 2 -

Another horrible, cold and wet day outside so more indoor detailing. Mustang's turn today -

The Mustang's engine way gets wiped down after each wash, so not especially dirty but a chance to get into the areas I miss. I did remove the engine and battery covers to get better access, using ONR to wipe away any dust that accumulates under them. Dressed with 303 Protectant.

Started my Jeep detailing project yesterday evening.

Soooo much to do!
I’m actually looking forward to this transformation.

Today I'm getting my truck dirty....so I can appreciate it clean when I wash it again. :buffing:

Got out there early this morning before it gets too sunny and hot today. I posted pics of the "before, during and after" process. I'm also going to post pics of the products, wanna change it up some.

The tire/wheel cleaning involved Brake Buster and Griot's Garage foaming tire cleaner, all 4 brushes called into service this morning. The foam is nice because it sticks around and just works! Once I was done with the 1st tire/wheel cleaning I noticed the wheels were still beading but decided to "kick it up a notch", hopefully. I say this because recently it was posted here that IGL Premier has a shelf life and I decided to try it on my rims. While wet I sprayed it on there, let it sit while cleaning the next one and came back and rinsed it off. To my delight it beaded even MORE, maybe it does have life left in it

Next up was the pre-wash. For this I used 1.5 ounces of IGL Blizzard and a little squirt of AMMO winter booster (using it up). I foamed the car real good and let it sit, rinsed down and got things ready for the contact wash

For the 2BM I used 2 ounces of Gyeon Essense, finishing up that product. It foamed up real good and I knocked out the contact wash and rinsed away, now for a drying aid...or maybe not

Initially I was going to use Sonax BSD as a drying aid but it was a "healthy scratch" and I decided to finish off another bottle 100% , Adam's Seal 02. I didn't have enough to fill up my CG's foam gun so I added some Griot's Garage foaming Poly Gloss. I then sprayed this onto the ES, let it dwell and rinsed away.

I finished up by drying off with my Adam's white waffle weave towel for the glass and 2 Gauntlet towels for the car and jama. Designated mf towel for the tires and wheels.

I'm waiting a bit to freshen up the tires with Adam's graphene tire dressing and their wheelwell dressing, then I'll be done

Same!
Yeah between work, training, these brutal summer temps and summer activities I haven’t done much detailing.
I also cleaned all my pads and microfibers.

Washed two weeks of grime and dead bugs off of the Fusion. The 303 Graphene Coating is still doing its thing. Foamed with Adams Graphene car wash and then a two bucket wash with the same.
Topped off with Adams Graphene Detail Spray as a drying aid.

Used the garage to get out of the sun and did the exterior and interior. Still hot in the garage.

Exterior rinseless wash with Griot's BF. Tried out one of the large Kwazar spray bottles to presoak. worked well to get a lot of mist on the car but it was a little heavy when full. Probably won't fill it up next time.

Then did the interior with Griot's Interior Cleaner, 303, and Griot's Leather 3in1. Used the thin Cobra microfiber applicators to put on the 303 and Leather 3in1. Had one split on me. That was the first time using it.
