What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Hi Roger. I know that you live in a condo. How do you get access to free flowing water?
It's actually an apartment but there's an outside spiket and hose, got pretty lucky if I'm being honest and I was so great full to see that when I came here for a tour last year. I have a porch and storage area right outside my sliding side door where I park my Bucket Buddy and spare bucket and wheel bucket, plenty of room actually.

The owner doesn't turn off the outside water till the temps change for the good, qt which time I have to bring out the Worx hydroshot and carry my buckets from the laundry room and up the outside stairs to the parking lot to clean the car. Nice thing is the slop sink has VERY hot water

Made an appointment to have my windows tinted at Chicago Auto Pros. They did my buddy Kevin's Fusion Sport today, did an incredible job

I'm going with 35% metallic tint on the ES, this is 30% metallic tint

What’s wrong with the pics, so blurry and wavy looking! 35%? You have me #### years ago for 30% on my Mazda6 being to light now look at you….

Not sure about the pics but if I said anything was too light it would be 50%, not 30-35%. 30% is legal here in Illinois so I'm going that route

After a bit of driving yesterday I decided to finish off a bottle...a bottle of Griot's Garage Ceramic Wash. Just a simple foam/dwell/rinse. After drying the ES I used the mini Master Blaster to dry the tires/wheels and jams. I even topped my coated tires w/ Adam's graphene tire dressing

Only factory tint is legal here in pa. I always go 20% all the way around as it is closest to factory.

Just picked up a new to me daily to replace the rusted out G6. Can't wait to get it tinted... feels like im riding around in a fish bowl lol

20% is NOT close to any factory unless your just doing the rear doors and back window. I'd go 50% all around and not worry about it but that's just me

Is it a different rating system over there, 20% means it only let's 20%of light through in Australia. Very dark and illegal. I put that on one of my cars, then got defected by the police for drifting around corners, which wrecked the tyres. If you get defected, you then have to get an official inspection, so I wound all the windows down when I took it in, luckily it was summer.

Yeah it's the same here, 20% of light allowed in

well obviously, since no fronts come tinted from factory. 20% on the fronts have always matched very well for me on anything that the rears were factory tinted. imo i would not waste my money on 50%

Big Dave: no thats the same system we use in the US:xyxthumbs:

Both the only the fronts were done on both the jeep and truck at 20%. They match quite well

Oh yeah if I had 20% factory rear doors/ rear window tint I would match the 20% and roll the dice, I'm no criminal and this area has much more important things to worry about...trust me!

I cannot believe that people tint their windshield

I don’t know what tint I got but it would be near 50% but I had the 3M Crystalline tint installed so it was less about darkness and more about the heat blockage. Plus the bronze tint looks good on my burgundy car.

50% tint can be very ok if all you care about is reducing heat, in my case I want looks AND heat reduction as my interior is all black and my interior is leather and not the soft kind unfortunately

I got my windshield “tinted” with the lightest 3M Crystalline, again, for heat rejection only. And boy does it reject heat. Last summer after I had the tint installed, I was at a drive thru and I rolled down the window and I was smacked by the July heat. Rolled the window up after ordering and boom, no more heat. The heat-rejecting tint works wonders.
