What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

So getting over Covid I thought I was good to go to Dr. Colorchip some spots on the Camaro before polishing and coating.

Foamed with BHAF and then foamed with CP Descale. Then I brought it in and did a Pure Rinseless on it.

Looks like the Vid sapped a lot of my energy because I was winded and done after the wash.

Will recipe down with Pure tomorrow or Saturday and get to the Dr.C

Now to add a supercharger check the one on YT from Harrop
I had a Garret turbo sitting on my bench at work for most of this week. We sent it out a month ago and it didn't get delivered. I offered to make it disappear, but they made me send it back out again.

Just stick one down your pants, and if anybody asks say! I naturally gifted down there:wowwow:

I noticed a new scratch on the rear passenger door when I was parked in the sun yesterday. I don't know wether it was my ONR wash last weekend, or somebody getting too close in a carpark. Either way it needed to go.

Wiped it down with Carpro Eraser

Put some Scholl S30+ on a Yellow Black Diamond pad, on my Ryobi cordless RO

Wiped down with Carpro Eraser again

Reapplied 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating, twice

Then I decided to apply the 303 Coating to all the exterior glass. I read somewhere it's a good glass coating, so why not.

FNW time again

Nothing much needed here, just dust/pollen/spotty sap (that time of year) I had my usual Bilt-Hamber Touchless ready to go in the IK Foam Pro 12, so I foamed down the entire EN, let dwell and rinsed away, free flowing water to knock down the beading. I used Griot's Garage Ceramic Speed Shine as a drying aid/booster. Wiped down the jams, wheels faces/spokes and dried the tires with designated mf towel. I didn't do a full wheel cleaning as it's supposed to rain at some point tomorrow afternoon or late evening but I wanted it to look good in the morning though. You see I've got that bright green Camaro ZL1 to do tomorrow, intense car wash and protection added, brand new Griot's Garage clay towel to break in (on the glass first, ofcoarse) I'll be adding 303 spray graphene on it for an LSP. Then I've got a good carwash on a Jeep Grand Cherokee, she wants to wait on a clay/protection package, no problem.

I'm glad the EN has a big trunk because it's packed with everything I need tomorrow, including buckets, tire/wheel bucket and my Griot's Garage bags. I need my machines as she's got some scratches she'd like me to get out...stay "tuned", pics coming tomorrow late afternoon.

Btw I tried a different setting as far as distance to take pics tonight, trying to show something new

Washed, clayed, put down two coats of FK1000p. I also put two coats of Collinite 476s on the wheels and dressed the tires with Nextzett Vinyl-Rubber Extra.

Got to love FK1000p. Decided you use it on my black car this spring. Going to do it next weekend. Was flipping coins between FK1000p and Collinite 915. Just feel like FK this year for the ease of use.

Looks grey in some pics and light blue others. Those flat glossy paint jobs are a love hate thing but I’m in the love camp.

If I could afford it I’d paint the chevelle that grey color dodge uses.

Did a major cleaning of that green ZL1 again!

I started with the rims, they were trashed! Started with Adam's iron remover, then 303 tire cleaner and then TWHS Hyper Foam Tire and Wheel cleaner and let dwell. All 4 brushes were much needed here! As you can see, lots of gray and brown Foam, really bad!

Once all 4 wheels were done I turned my attention to the paint. It's been sitting outside and was dirty and gritty. I finished off my bottle of Adam's iron remover and switched over to TWHS Decon. I let that dwell and then foamed the entire car with Bilt-Hamber Auto-foam and let dwell. I rinsed it off and prepared for the 2BM.

For the 2BM I used DG carwash soap. It did a great job, lots of suds. The left over soap was used as a lubricant for a brand new Griot's Garage red clay MIT, this ZL1 REALLY needed it. I broke it in on the glass and then moved to the car. After a couple passes you could feel it remove that sh!t️I rinsed the car down again and dried it. I finished up using my mini Master Blaster on the rims, grill and various other nooks.

For protection I reached for 303 spray graphene and it's such a joy to use, very easy! The Gloss and smoothness is off the charts here, did the glass too! I applied TWHS graphene tire dressing to finish it up

Custom made foot rest plate from Etsy seller, looks OEM Now I just hope the 3 large strips of 2 way tape hold it, LOL

I've got some other mods for it, 2 are here, the other one coming next month, stay "tuned" (non-perf mods)

I was out most of the day today and want to go to a C&C I haven't been to this year yet, so I did a touchless wash on the EN. I used 3 oz of TWHS Ceramic wash and 3 oz of TWHS Slick and Slide Pure Wash in my Griot's Garage foam gun. I also used TWHS Hyper Foam Tire and wheel cleaner and all 4 brushes. Rinse and free flow, dry and mini Master Blaster and DONE️I gave the tires a light coat of Auto-Fanatic Holeshot tire dressing which is mixed with something I was low on and a similar product, came out nice. Also finished up CG's Black Frost in the interior and trunk area

You now have 50 more HP at least :D:D:D

Quick cleanup under the hood with Griot's engine cleaner. Tires with Tuf Shine. Wheels with Megs Non Acid. Rinseless wash with Griot's BF RW and the SPTA cordless sprayer for pretreat. I've used the SPTA about a half dozen times and it's still on the original charge and not showing a low battery yet. Windshield and Rear Window with Griot's Ceramic glass cleaner.

Just a quickie to get the truck back to gray instead of “pollen green”.

Megs HW, and Griot’s Black Satin on the tires. (Looks shiny, but I snapped this pic seconds after application).

I noticed some dark streaking on the roof, I'm guessing it's the 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating as it comes out of the spray bottle dark. Either I haven't buffed it off properly, or it's not compatible with the single stage paint on the roof, seems fine on the clear coated silver.

I tried wiping it down with Carpro Eraser, which did nothing, so I thought I'd try some Dodo Juice Lime Prime on my Ryobi RO, which worked, but I had to go to hand polishing due to raised panels on the roof, the RO just couldn't get in close enough.

So what to put on to replace it, I've got some Mother's CMX, also a couple of different sealants from NV, but I decided to go with Collinite 845, I did have to put it in the sun for half an hour before it became liquid enough to use. I'm still happy with the 303 Graphene on the rest of the car, just not the white roof.

I then gave the rest of the FJ a wipe down with NV Boost, we've had a couple of weeks of cold windy days with no rain, not even any morning dew, so that was all it needed.
