What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Well it's got a gravel roadway so when cars drive on it they kick up some dust. But I put a layer of sealer on it right before taking it there and I put a cover on it. But yeah it gets a little dusty but not too bad. It's not like cars are constantly going in and out. Most are like me they go in about this time of year and come out in spring. But one can store their car/boat/RV in there long term such as someone that would be leaving the area for several years.
It's not like a mine that goes deep underground it kind of is built into a mountain. Very hilly in this area. It's quite large.so it's fairly level driving in and level inside.

That’s wild! Any pics? First thing I wondered was humidity, but you covered that. Super interesting, never hear of that!

No I don't have any pics. I'll take some when I drop it off next month and then post them.

KA, the current offset to those wheels is around 47-51 I'd look into something around 40-45 offset
My cars stock offset is +55, even though they're from the Kona N, it's the same. A +45 offset with 8-8.5" width is what I'd go with for sure.

Nooooo. The Chevelle stays in my half of the garage year round. Want that one close. The Mustang actually goes into an underground (old limestone) mine. It's about 70 miles away. There are hundreds of cars in there, boats, RVs. Stays a constant 65 degrees and low humidity. Plus it's less than $100.00 per month so it's reasonable. There are several such old mines in this area that do the same thing.
Is this the place? https://www.bradysbend.com/

Washed the family truckster. I sprayed mud off of it for 30 minutes, not even kidding. This van always defeats me due to the amount of dripping it does after drying.

Now, anyone know the longest lasting wet coat product? I don’t know if I have the energy for anything other than a spray on, spray off type product.

Did a quick fall detail today. Loving this cool weather.
-2BM with Hyperwash (first time using it, I like it but I like Reset more)
-Blackfire clay mitt, although only a couple “grabby” spots
-Polished with Blackfire AIO and white Lake Country foam pads on the GG9
-Topped with the reliable Collinite 845
-Trim dressed with 303
-Wheels protected with 303 graphene that I got on clearance for $5
-“Blue stuff” on the tires (my father bought me a gallon of some silicone based dressing from a detailing store. It doesn’t sling, and lasts a while. I’ll keep using it on tires.
No great sun shots, by the time I finished it was going down. Good reflection shot though.

Maintenace wash/detail on the truck. Finished with wet wax as the drying aid.
From Big Dave

I forgot how much I liked Wet Wax until you mentioned it a few weeks ago, I'd moved it to the back of the shelf. It's now back front and centre.

Sleeper product of the detailing world, still can't believe it doesn't get more attention

In it's class it could be "Best in the World" and it's not out of Montreal either, can you believe it

So when your favorite college football team is on their 3rd starting QB in 5 games....AND it's beautiful and 74 degrees outside....and they can't do anything right, well, you grab some JUST arrived detailing products and GET AFTER IT

I started with ADS Wheel Cleaner. It's an iron removing product but not as pungent, plus I wanted to see how it would do on a couple days brake dust (N's have aggressive pads) I sprayed all 4 wheels and let dwell and moved to the wash

For the wash I reached for Griot's Garage Brillant Shine snow foam, 4 oz in my Griot's Garage foam gun. This product suds up well and always rinses well. Upon rinsing the beads still BLOWS ME AWAY

After rinsing I used free flowing water to knock down the beads and the sheeting of water....O M G! At this point I decided to use ADS Ceramic Spray Sealant as a drying aid and when combined with the Gaunlet drying towel it was game, set, match!! I'm going to maintain this 2 week old coating as much as I can before it's asked to "get to work"

Now I've got ADS Decon soap as well, waiting to use that on my first reset wash come winter grime, see how it stacks up to Bilt-Hamber Touchless...the bar is high but based on what I've seen so far, ADS is up to the challenge! I also acquired ADS Pilot today, that will be tried out tomorrow in the interior...stay "tuned"

Special thanks to Deyon and his in-depth reviews of ADS products, plus his honesty AND passion for this upstart! I bought into Hero, used it/loved it, then Amplify QD & Adapt WW, 2 more winners, and haven't looked back! The coating BLEW ME AWAY, this product hasn't let down let and I don't expect them too either...oh wait, their Tire Cleaner, Tire+ & Ghost, winner, WINNER & W I N N E R

No outlandish claims, hype videos, clowns, hype men....nothing but awesome results where real people, real enthusiast detailers give HONEST reviews, I couldn't be happier with ADS

Got a last minute call for a headlight restoration and maintenance wash for a customer I haven’t seen since winter. This is the second time I’ve resurfaced these headlights because she likes to go 5 and 6 months between washes. I coated with two layers of Mohs so hopefully her new monthly detailer will follow my directions and use a good sealant as a drying aid just to keep the protection on the headlights and the rest of the vehicle fresh.

Gotta love those “it’s not that dirty” calls.

Yeah...you, I and US know that dirty is dirty and clean is clean, especially on a BLACK car

You nailed those headlights, your process is dialed it without a doubt

Farm truck customer, mobile detail. My Interior Premium service plus exterior wash. The dreaded dimpled plastic floor. Removed lots of trash, blew it out with compressed air, soaked it with Meguiar's All Purpose, complete steaming of all surface, scrubbing of all surfaces with a brush, removed staining on the headliner. I put the seat covers in the laundry in their barn. On the exterior, I had to scrub off whiskey fungus with a clay mitt.

I make a video of every customer and send it to them and ask them to share it on their social media or with friends,

Cleaned up the C7 tonight.

I think my favorite part of the satin colors (this has DA) stay clean looking for so much longer than glossy oem paints

Agreed! Back in 2008 I worked with a retiree that had two C5s. His 97 had 320k-ish miles at the time, and his 04 had 125k-ish miles on it. He and his son drove them all over the continent (the 04 went to Alaska via Canada). I didn’t believe him on the miles on his 1997, so he brought it to work one day and made me verify it myself. Both were year round daily drivers with extra wheels/snow tires. He ended up giving that 97 to his daughter to drive.
