What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

They're good. I've got 8 pads and 2 blocks for the dirtier areas. I wait for the right 20% bbs sale at Autoality with free shipping and it is hard to beat them.

Very similar to the multiple towels in RW method and easy to wash these in a machine.

I have looked at the system for quite some time

Do the Flat Out pads have any structure to them, like a softer thinner foam core or are they just doubled up heavy MF?

They seem to have a thin piece of foam in the middle, maybe 3/16" thick. I haven't tried mine yet (what else is new). Expensive though. Unless of course you catch the right sale as Uncbrs suggests.

I can get behind this after inspecting my wet and dry Flat Out pads. I pulled the two sides apart on a dry pad and it sounded like each microfiber side was separating from a thin foam piece.

The mitt itself is relatively simple. Looks like two thick edged fluffy microfiber cloths sewn together. Surprised nobody replicated it yet.

Who is going to give them a first go as a RW medium?!

I already whined about the Double Flip towels because they are so floppy and hard for my arthritic hands to handle but these with the foam might be just the ticket

Not like I need any more wash media but…

Flat out pads are not floppy, also not stiff. I like them

This car was lightly grazed by an elderly gentleman. The owner had mercy on him and decided not to go through insurance and brought it to me to see if I could undo the damage. There was a very, very light discoloration on the front bumper which came out with ease from polishing. The paint is now smooth, glossy and well protected and all is right with the world.

This is why I love working on white cars. The purple bleeding is so satisfying.

This was by far what blew away the customer the most. Night and day difference.

yeah, I think there's a very thin layer in the middle of the Flat Outs. If i pull the two sides apart, one ends up being thicker between your fingers and you can move that inner layer to the other side. They don't have a ton of structure so you can easily get a corner under door handles, etc. When i washed/dried them, some of the corners got inverted.

Multiple days in a row through the touch-free wash, come the weekend it'll be time for proper washes

Griot's Adventure Line

Seems like it could be mostly a bunch of existing products with rebranding.
Wait, that market is already filled. Adam's won't like this move into their territory of rebrand the old and selling it as new or limited edition.

ADS "mystery box" has been delivered, will open it abd report back later...stay "tuned"

Hope you get some awesome stuff. My experience with mystery boxes is they do send you the valued amount they claim but it’s usually stuff that nobody wants and doesn’t sell. Imagine if you got $250 worth of ADS green puck applicators lol

I'd probably be OK with it and use them the fastest. Just annoyed that now I have to find a way to hide $250 worth of applicators from kids, pets, significant others...
