What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

After the early morning sap management wash but I'll say this, it was lighter, maybe it's ending soon

Sap is killing me. At my apartment the only place to park that wont get your car dinged is under a tree that just covers my cars in sap droplets :(

Given the choice, I'd chose light sap because it will wash right off, especially a well coated/boosted car like mine

Oh I absolutely prefer sap to dings. Just annoying I can’t park in the spaces that don’t have trees
Let's make a pact, we'll be out of a parking lot with pine trees within 1 year

Easily 75% of the people in our development park in their driveway despite having a 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 car garage

I often see the same thing and can't help thinking what a waste of space.

In my neighborhood it's mostly the larger trucks sitting outside that people can't fit inside of their garages. I couldn't even deal well with having to put 1 vehicle outside overnight for some construction closures in the neighborhood last week.

Decided that Optimum Tire Bond Gel sucks. Looks great, but being water based, like so many others, it looks brownish and dull after a few rainy commutes. How does Dark Side last on a daily that gets washed maybe once a month or so?

Gave the rockers panels some love on the 500. They didn't clean up much, what's there is there I guess. Curious if a perfect match white PPF could cure my ills. Need tires first, though.

Have you looked at Armour Detail Supply Ghost? It's a sealant they claim but it is working well and lasting. I think there's a few users here that can chime in. I apply this quarterly and then can drop any shine products on top in future washes.

Detailing tires now has the sealant base + toppers!

I ordered Ghost, it arrived today but not sure when I’ll test it. Hopefully soon.

This is Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel and the Opti-Coat version, both tend to separate after sitting for a while.

Did a coating on new to me MB. Washed, coated and polished it up with Griots FC and then PC. Now ready for coating. After watching so many incredible glossy pics of sizzle chest’s detail on German paint… I gave Aquatek Select (consumer version). Super easy to apply and wipe off. Definitely glossy.

Had to start early early in my AZ garage. Gonna be 110 today.IMG_6451.jpg

So this morning I headed for the D (Detroit for those who don't know) for my long time buddy's sons H.S. graduation party Saturday

I started out the morning like I usually do, touch-free wash and topped up the tank with Shell V-Power. While loading up the EN this morning I almost walked out of my Chucks from all the sap mist on the ground behind my car, never noticed this before, crazy

I went 221 miles before getting gas, needed something to eat too and with a 20 minute stop & go jam just before getting into Indiana, after that it was +5 mph above the speed limit using ECO mode...my mileage per the calculator was 40.1 mpg! The next portion was less miles and A/C on and some surface street driving...PLUS me throwing a sh!t fit because cars backed up onto Woodward Avenue because of Starbucks line flowing into the street, I just nailed the gas to go around it and laid down some Michelin rubber on the World Famous M1

After getting lunch and checking into the hotel I got out there and did a Feynlab v3 RW and did the front end ever need it, tires & wheels too

I also stopped at my old work before moving to Chicago back in 2009, Auto Europe of Birmingham MI, a Lotus dealership as well, enjoy the pics from there:

Well, I had planned on using the new Ryobi automotive pressure washer yesterday, but instead of sending it to my house, they sent it to a Home Depot 90 miles away….
Road trip!
On the way there I was watching some reviews on it… so apparently the foam cannon and the hose it comes with is crap…. So I put an order in for an Uberflex 1/4 hose, raincovo foam cannon(it was $32 and I’ll compare it to my Pf22.2) and a cheap quick connect kit..
Maybe next week I’ll get to use it all if it doesn’t rain.

my take from the reviews would be definitely replace the foam cannon (i already have 2). if i get one, i may just try it with the existing hose and eventually upgrade.
