From experience, I can't hit TSR with orange pad on a black car because it might leaves some holograms and TSR with a white pad barely correct the paint.

So, I always tell my client that they better get a 2-step for a dark-colored car so I can do TSR orange and TSR white or FG white.

But I was thinking.. maybe I should start doing 1-step on black car with a glaze.. like malco rejunavator or Red moose or even Menz FG. but I feel like a liar leaving filler on their paint..

I dunno, what's your 1-step on dark-colored car?Feed back please

Thanks!!

Menzerna PO106FA (Super Finish) with either a polishing pad or finishing pad, stuff removes light swirls and finishes down even better than 205 IMO. No marring...

With a rotary or DA?

Edit: Just saw u mentioned holograms. Nevermind...

I do all my 1-steps jobs with the PCXP or Flex, more cut without the worry of holograms. :xyxthumbs:

I find that Power Finish, D151, M205, 106fa, and Poli-Seal all work well. Not all 1-step jobs are equal and I will vary the pad and product depending on the condition of the car and how the paint responds to polishing.

On a black car that is pretty swirled up, Power Finish on a polishing pad works great most of the time. Great cut while still finishing down very well.

Here is Power Finish via PCXP/6.5" white LC pads

How about D300/PCXP/MF cutting disc as a 1-step? :) Will it not finish well enough on a black car? Depending on paint of course...

I do all my one steps with Malco Glaze II. It doesn't have much cut...but I have packages that just include a one step. So the customer knows what they're getting to begin with. :xyxthumbs:

It seems from the pictures of alot of reviews that *most of the time* this combo is leaving an acceptable finish for a one step. Just my opinion of course, and depends on what you set as your goals of a one step job (% of correction, more gloss, etc)

I would still follow it up with D301 since it only takes about 20 minutes anyway. ;)

Cool thanks Rasky.

Maybe I should buy a RO just for 1-step then lol

I have two black vehicles, the best one step Polish I've used was the menz.106 for a flawless finish that has the ability to do some correction work. For a one step AIO on black for what I've tried, polyseal finishes down very nice. I also spent about an hour trying the new DA-MF on my car and couldn't get it not to haze. But to be fair, that was my first time using it.

I need to correct my statement about the menzerna 106, I should have said for light correction work that finishes down really nice, same goes for polyseal.

Menzerna PowerFinish is a great 1-step on most paints.

The thing with poliseal , I remember I once got hologram with it using a white pad. but now I think about it.. and I think the car had holograms already on the car underneath all the swirls so you couldn't see them but once I removed all the swirls and maybe removed the filler from the glaze the previous detailer left on the car, that why I saw them and thought that was poliseal who did that.
