I just peeked over there and was reading the "We're Back and Better Than Ever" or whatever it was called. Seemed no one was mincing words (management included).
I dunno...I've lost that loving feeling. Just kind of feels like getting cheated on and you don't ever feel the same way again.
Frankly, the smart thing to do when new owners take over a successful website is to try and make the switch over as seamless and unnoticeable as possible. Nothing could be further from that here.
I disagree..it was seamless and unnoticeable...for 7 months or so after they bought it, while they still had DavidB running it. Then he disappeared and it's been like no one is home since then.
If there's been one thing I've learned about this crazy virtual world, is, if you have a problem, you have to be on it instantly and over-fix it. That goes for product/shopping problems and forum problems, because they are inevitably intertwined. If you have a store problem, it will wind up on the forums, and you'd better handle it quick or everybody and his brother will be on it. If you have a forum problem, you'd better handle it quick, or it will wind up on a bunch of other forums...

visited the site and had no problems or pop-up warnings. glad to see it back in action!! got to check up on the the many threads/write-ups i missed...

I wouldn't get too excited. I'm not. The site is safe, but it sure isn't working as it should be.
People are not receiving email updates to subscribed threads.
This is another example of their incompetence. They have been working on *that* issue for three days now, with no success.![]()
better late than never...
But "late" has not happened yet since it has not been fixed, so as far as we know, it could still be "never".
don't know what more to tell you, if you don't want to visit the site at all or anytime soon (until it's "completely" resolved), then don't...
Read the shoutbox. They said that they were going to be looking into the email notification/subscription issues several days ago. So far, nothing, nada, zip, zilch. No communication telling us what the problem is, or that they are still working on it, or that they have given up, or an admission that they really have no clue what they are doing.
You know very well that I like the people who post there.
