My front end is covered with bugs after a long trip.
What is the best way to clean them off?

Is a Micro fiber wash mitt in some Griot's wash soap enough to get it clean?

pressure sprayer at a coin wash. Or your own pressure washer after soaking it with something like tarminator.

I'm going to a coin wash tomorrow and spraying them off as best I can and then going over it with the wash mitt.
Hopefully that will be enough.

And good sponges to remove bugs or other type of product?

Pinnacle bug sponge rocks. I was nervous when i first felt it but it is safe and it does work.

I have seen several forums that state a damp used dryer sheet will do the trick. Others have mentioned WD40. :xyxthumbs:

I soak and wring out a full size bath towel, then lay the wet towel flat on the bug infested area for 20-30 minutes....in the shade of course. The water will slowly saok into the bug matter, and it will easily wipe off during a normal hand wash with no extra pressure. I have been doing this for years on my motorcycle and helmets.

Poorboy's World Bug Squash works nicely and also has many other uses too. You might have some etching there that you just think is bug splatter that won't come off, in that's case you would want to have them polished out.

Bug Squash, Einszett Insekt, or P21S Total Wash. Use them to presoak areas prior to washing.

The simplest way of doing it and it works! Bottom line all you need to do is soften the splatter then wash it off normally.

I like to use the 1Z Einszett Anti-Insekt Pre-Cleaner with the Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad.

I use Bug Squash as well. I usally let it sit for a minute or two then everything seems to wash away with a mitt. Even diluted it works well.

Bug Squash is great. I like to really just use water water and more water to rehydrate the splatter and use a medium jet of water through a hose nozzle. Then Regular Car Wash (Megs Gold Class is my choice) with a soft well drenched MF towel like a SHAMROCK or COBRA JR. - Followed by Bug squash if there are any stubborn guts left behind.

98% I get off with water !

As I stated in another thread...

Be sure to keep a good sealant on your car and the bugs will come right off. DP Poli Coat has done great at resisting bug staining for me, as has WG sealant.

Also, within the next few weeks there will be a NEW Diamondite product coming out which will make bug removal an absolute breeze! :)

Turtle Bug and Tar Remover, works just as well as anything else you can buy and you can get it just about anyplace.

I've been using Tarminator with good results. I have a friend that swears by Surf City Garage Road Grime Destroyer. He lives out in the country and he's constantly cleaning bugs off his cars and trucks. I have not tried it myself though.

I'd definitely get a type of mesh bug scrubber sponge. Cheap ones at Wal mart for a buck or so...they even have the sponge thats 1/2 Mf and 1/2 mesh that i really like...and its cheap so getting it all junked up with bugs wont bother you as much!

Tarminator does work really good...what i'll also do is after spraying it down...i'll hit it with some heavily diluted APC (at least 10:1) and let it set for a couple minutes...and then with the mesh bug scrubber sponge they usually come right up!:props:
