What size pad do you use to apply LSP's via DA?

4" hydro tech crimson, I find the 4" pad is a bit slower than larger pads but way faster and easier than hand. Will get to a lot tighter places than 5.5 or 6.5" pads

:iagree: same here......I do not use the lager pads when applying a lsp so I won't have to stop and change machines for the tighter areas ,a few areas I may have to break out a foam applicater to finish up but this way seams quick to me.

I'm thinking 5.5" too guys. 4" would be could to cover all areas easily, but will take too long.

6" for large areas, then use a 3" to finish pillars, bumpers and any other tight areas. All GG products including DA.

I use 5.5" white LC pads. I don't see much point in buying pads that are only useful for spreading wax or sealant.

So, I use the white LC pads, and if I ever happen to run out of polishing pads....I'll clean the one I was using for LSP, and use it. More of a backup plan than anything else I guess, ha.

White pads have some cut this could cause marring. Plus I keep dedicated pads for LSP's because they very hard to clean after sealants IMO. One thing about LSP pads they pretty much never wear out!

"White Low Profile Polishing 5.5 inch Foam Pad - Less dense foam formula for the application of waxes, micro-fine polishes and sealants. This pad has very light cutting power so its perfect for pre-wax cleaners."

It only has cut if provided with a cutting product. I don't use a pad I was polishing with to apply wax. But I will clean one I was using for LSP to polish with after cleaning it.

5.5 LC HT Crimson, 3D Red, LC Blue Flat, LC Black etc etc.

I wanna try out LC Gold/Red pad, I've heard the gold pad is pretty awesome but red I hear is a bit iffy.

Depends on vehicle. 5.5 or 6.5. I work on a lot of muscle era cars and those generally have big panels and not many trim items to work around. Sto a 6.5 inch pad is my choice on those.

I use a 5.5" crimson HT on the GG 6" and a 4" pad on the 3" GG. Switch polishers instead of pads. 4" pads won't spin enough for much in the way of correction on the GG 3" but they work fine for spreading LSPs.

"White Low Profile Polishing 5.5 inch Foam Pad....

I must be missing something, only low profile LC pads I knew were available anywhere were the HTs. Where'd you find these?

I know LC makes every foam pad in 3, 3.5, 4 etc, etc as well as low profile but nobody seems to carry them. I'd buy 7/8" pads exclusively if I could find a variety.

I actually have some 5" (not 5.5") red LC pads I use to apply LSP with.
