What size pad do you use to apply LSP's via DA?

I must be missing something, only low profile LC pads I knew were available anywhere were the HTs. Where'd you find these?

I know LC makes every foam pad in 3, 3.5, 4 etc, etc as well as low profile but nobody seems to carry them. I'd buy 7/8" pads exclusively if I could find a variety.

Here's a link to the pads I use. I love these pads. They stay nice and flat, and the little pockets in the pad help product spread nicely. Try them out. :xyxthumbs:

Mark,

I use the 5 1/2" flat blue or 6 1/2" red CCS pad....:props:

Majority of the time I use a 5.5 inch red wax pad. If I am doing a truck, SUV, or a vehicle with large panels I tend to switch over to a 6.5 inch LC blue pad.

I typicially use a 4" red B&S flat pad. It's easier to apply to the thin sections along the bumpers. I can pull the pad off the DA and get the really tight spots. I apply 1 coat of LSPs by overlapping both vertically and perpendicularly to ensure maximized coverage so I take my time anyway.

The 6.5" was too big and seemed to waste product, but I covered more area in less time. I ended up pulling out a small foam pad for tight spots too.

I have one 5.5" crimson that I bought earlier in the year but I have not used it yet.

I use a 6" Crimson HT on the 3401. I use the 5" MF on the GG to corect.

Another soon to be famous "Epic Mark" thread!!! Im the MAN FTW Buddy!!

6 1/2"

Sometimes I'll switch to 4" for tight areas depending on the car and "lsp" but will often finish the tight areas by hand.

Aha, that's why I never noticed them, I'm a flat pad kinda guy. Can't explain it exactly but the CCS pads just never felt good to me.

AG has some thin 4" orange pads, only place I've ever seen 'em. I wouldn't mind if all 4 & 5.5" pads were that thin! :dblthumb2:

Even if it does the CCS pockets, they get noticeably shallower as you get to the softer pads.

TL, here are the LC 7/8 X 5.5" flat pads ..... My second favorite behind the thin HT's http://www.autogeek.net/lake-country-beveled-edge-pads.html

5.5" LC blue for the moat part. I sometimes use the 4" pads especially when using Meg's paste waxes. I feel that using te 4" pads wastes less product. For this reason, I think it's worth the extra time, which isn't really much.
