What will Mark (07 z-oh-6) think of the "NEW" Power Clean

If its not in the auto geek store it doesn't exist...................

I will come out and say that I don't see the big deal of OPC. I have never used it and right now I think APC+ is perfectly fine. I have even used it on leather several times with no ill effects. Maybe someone can shed the light on the advantages of OPC? I might like it if I try it someday :)

APC+ plus works fine for most applications

But, OPC is safer, smells better, and is a much more effective cleaner.

I just got a new gallon of OPC yesterday, although I would have liked to have the 'new formula', it doesn't matter to me because the 'old' version still produces phenomenal results.

Yea, like I said, maybe if I try it I will understand why so many people like it :)

You will still get drip marks if not careful. However, I think this is more technique, rather than a negative.

It took what felt like forever cleaning up the drips, so what is the best way to apply and clean with OPC on leather?

Also this is one of the reason why I purchased Ultima Interior Gel to clean leather.

I don't know how it can get much better, but I'm excited to try it. How much better is it? Do I need to dump my current OPC down the drain and buy this?

Use what you have liberally and you will be able to get the new formula in no time!

WTF..it figures when i finally just bought a gallon last week.

Sorry, we are constantly improving...but the original is great so it's not like you got stuck with something you don't like.

This is classic after he declared he is done with new products for now

I knew he had already tried it, I just thought it would be funny after his thread.

Man I absolutely LOVE that OPC!!! I can't imagine cleaning my wheels and tires without it. Matter of fact since we're on this subject, to dilute is it 3 parts water for 1 part OPC? or the other way around?

You've got it right, 3 parts water to 1 part OPC for most cleaning chores.

My biggest question is: Can it be used on fabric?! That was the only trait that prevented me from throwing out my other degreasers/APC's. If it can be used on fabric I will never ever buy another degreaser again.

Yes, it can...but it needs to be rinsed and you should do a test spot for color fastness.

Wh..wha...what?! New OPC?

Damn it, I just got another gallon of the old stuff in a week ago. What's changed, Chris? :hungry:

You will see about a 20% improvement in cleaning power. You can use this any way you like. You can dilute it 20% more or use your current dilutions and get faster results. It's still safe even at full power.

Well, well, well......I was lucky enough to be selected to beta test the new OPC! You know how much of a fan of the previous formula I am! I can say with full confidence, that the new formula is even more effective, and that's saying a lot! Used un-diluted, nothing really stands a chance! At 3:1, it's still very effective! I've used it on engines, exterior plastic, wheels, tires, interior panels, carpets/upholstery, paint, and leather. Basically, any part of the car with the exception of uncured paint and glass. Do yourself a favor and pick up the new formula OPC, you'll be more than satisfied, or I'll pay for it!! :righton:

Disclaimer: I will not pay for it.

LOVE, absolutley LOVE the disclaimer! Im the MAN

All you have to do to avoid drip lines is spread the product over the panel before you start scrubbing. Like Mark says, its all technique. If you have a very dirty seat, just do it a panel at a time for great results.

When is the new formula coming out?

We're ready to ship, so it will be available VERY SOON! I know Old Tiger will be asking Megan to BOGO the current stock, LOL.

I purchased a gallon as well and the BOGO is just adding more.

I just finished up a comparison of diluted OPC 3:1 vs. straight OPC on stained leather seats with before and after as well as 50/50 shots. I need to upload the pics to my computer and do the write up. Should have it on here in a couple of days.

Chris, how did you know? I am also eagerly awaiting your new Interior Guard. Havent put anything in the Audi in anticipation. BTW I really like the new formula Tire Shine that was on a few BOGO's ago!

What is the price for the new version going to be?

I talked to Chris@Optimum on the phone today and he told me the price will be the same as the old(r) version ;)
thats the one thing I have problems with is the price. Especially since you only dilute it up to 3:1 so your not getting much for your money compared to APC+ granted you can use it on leather and paint..but does that really make it worth 3x the price and you get MUCH less out of it vs APC+ I guess i will see how I like it. So far I cleaned my tires from old dressing with 3:1 and wasnt to impressed with it on them. I think it would be much easier to swallow the price if it was like $20

I agree with Old Tiger On the new formula Tire Shine...Great product...:dblthumb2:

05xrunner you know you can go Straight, 3:1, 5:1 and even 10:1 with OPC?
