what's one product that has impressed you (lately)?

Continually impressed with Rupes Zephir and Keramik polishes, and their associated microfiber and foam pads.

I like how they spread out over the work area, and how they stay "filmy" during the buffing process. When I use Zephir as directed with either pad, I don't get anywhere near the dust that I did last year when I over primed, and washer modded the tool. I'm also impressed with the cut/finish ratio Zephir had with either pad.

The Keramik does a great job cleaning up lightly messed up paint. The microfiber option only extends it's versatility. I've been "one step polishing" a lot with Keramik and the yellow microfiber pads, and the results are exactly what I'm looking for. When I want maximum gloss, I use the foam.

Both polishes wipe away very easily, which is nice. I do have some Keramik that I got second hand, and doesn't have the thick, creamy consistency as the new product I got here from AG. Sometime that will be difficult to remove. Nothing serious, but I do have to pay attention during removal. It was probably left in extreme temperatures or something. The new, fresh product is effortless.

The tools I use the products with are the Duetto, and Mini. What can I say? They're my perfect fit. Not only do they make the job easier, they're also enjoyable to use. Simple, efficient, compact, and refined.

In general, I'm extremely happy with the Rupes system! Very glad to have it!
Dan, how do you prime the Rupes MF and foam pads with their polishes?

Another one that has impressed me is the Flex 3401.

The Rupes are nice, smooth, well built machines and comfortable to work with.

In fact, I have the Rupes 15 Mk II and the Rupes Mini and have the iBrid on my wish list.

But, when it comes to powering through a detail when time is crucial, the Flex continues to impress.

Caro Dr. Tork:

Vorrei cogliere l'occasione per annunciare
che io sono, a dir poco, molto colpiti
lo sviluppo dei prodotti per quanto riguarda
"all things" LeatherMaster®.

E se posso permettermi di aggiungere che
il personale che dopo aver montato è anche
molto impressionante (belissimo!)

Def need to try Nanoskin. Ordered one today, when it gets here we'll see how well it works. So far only hear good things

What started out back in the early '70s
as a secretly specially-formulated polish
for "mag" wheels (impressed me to the
point of where I still use it)...
has now grown into a comprehensive
line-up of more than 30 different
car-care products.

Congratulations Mothers;
very impressive. :dblthumb2:

Didn't understand too much but good leather products. :props:

All I can think is: I hope you have a couple gallons of cold water!

Doing this in the heat, sun, and humidity is just a bunch other fun, isn't it?

WOW was it hot! My brother was in the shop working on 2 cars had no room to bring the boat in and I had to get a jump on it before I could pull it in tonight.

Hot wasn't the word I was drenched in mins lol.

D300 really suprised me, any product that can do that in direct sunlight is ok in my book.

•Would you be impressed if someone
were to develop a degreaser that was,
among other assorted line-items:
-alcohols/ammonia/solvent-free
-one that doesn't cause harm, whatsoever,
to any water-safe materials;
-resplendent with UV-A&B blockers;
-has an easy to use spray&wipe cleaning procedure...?

•Well, get ready to join in
with my merriment:
-303...Yes!...that 303 of Aerospace
Protectant fame...has such a degreaser.

As such...Rest assured that:
303's Marine Citrus Cleaner & Degreaser
is one impressive product!

Bob
I may give that a try. I've yet to be dissatisfied with a 303 product, but I'm not sure there's much difference between some of them, and the name changing gets annoying. When they offer a Canoe Paddle Protectant and a Kayak Paddle Protectant, I'll consider the shark to have been jumped.

I've been very impressed with how well 303 Sunbrella Fabric/Vinyl Cleaner and a MF cloth works on my truck's Softopper. Hand washing with a MF mitt appeared to do a good job until I went over it with the 303 cleaner and pulled quite a bit more crud out of the fabric. After wiping it down with 303 Marine & Recreation Fabric Guard, the fabric looks new. I'm going to try 303 Clear Vinyl Protective Cleaner on the Softopper's windows, too.

Yeah, those are the moments where I wonder what the heck I'm doing!

That D300 is a really great product too. I understand it works great with foam too. I remember trying it with foam, but don't really remember the results. I will have to try it again.

Stoner wheel cleaner.

Works really well for 6.99 bottle.

Lately, I'd have to say nanoskin clay thingies.

I did a maintenance polish using Mckee's 37 Jeweling wax this past week on the vette and I pulled out the good ol' claybar. After realizing it wasn't doing the work my nanoskin fine mitt was doing, I put the clay bar away and picked up my new friend nanoskin washmitt fine. it works so much faster and removes contamination so much better... I'd have to say it's the best thing to "wow" me lately.

On a car like my vette that is practically in near perfect condition, no matter what wax, what polish I use, it always ends up looking the same. I used jeweling wax and americana wax on it today (1st time both products) and honestly, I can't tell if it's any shinier or better looking lol.

but the nanoskin washmitt made my life so much easier removing contamination!

I'm really enjoying the newest version of CarPro Reload. I absolutely LOVE the look it gives on darker colors, especially on metallic blues and reds. They've also managed to eliminate the notorious "streaking" issues from the older batches. I normally use it as a drying aid and gloss booster for coated vehicles. It also works great as a window sealant.

Optimum Opti-Glass - Very impressive water repellency

Rupes P808- It's simple to use. It leaves a nice slick and glossy finish. Does a great job as a drying aid.

Rupes M606 Detailer - Works great without leaving anything behind on a coated vehicle.

I have had a couple of vehicles lately with a wicked, nasty combination of very hard clear and incredibly deep swirls/scratches. M101 wasn't even cutting through them fast enough and I don't like using rocks-in-a-bottle Menzerna Power Gloss although it will work. A MUCH better alternative has just surfaced in the guise of Shine Supply's Chop Top. Here is a vehicle that with its 19 years of abuse was a superb (and tough) test for it:

Chiming in with another vote for the Flex 3401.

If I knew years ago what I do now, I would have bought one long ago. 110% love powering through jobs. The time savings alone even on my own personal vehicles is worth it. The fact that it doesn't stall makes doing bumpers and hard to reach areas so easy and nice. I always hated having to deal with a regular DA on difficult spots. Never again.

D300 finishes pretty awesome on microfiber, on foam it finishes even better.

D300 is a elite compound till this day, its a really nice compound thats easy to work with and gets the job done.

Try it on on foam you'll love it!
