What's the real deal with WG Uber?

No, no, I was shooting for - in terms of how it behaves on vertical surfaces. Your 1:6 vs Uber's watery mixture.

Skimmed milk vs whole, if you will.

Yea but what I'm saying is, doesn't the label of D115 recommend up to a 20:1 ratio for high humidity conditions? If that's the case and I would've used it @20:1 on a wet panel like this morning, it would've been a watered down dripping mess, wouldn't it? So why is that recommended? Or am I just wrong?

I use all rinseless products , and I have a half a dozen of them, with the BRS with excellent results. I dont know how your supposed to get crud out of creases with no hose or decent amount of water, but its ballzy of all you who do it like that.

Well ideally I prefer to waterless wash a vehicle that's not only properly maintained [i.e. previously clayed and waxed] but also not extremely dirty. But in most normL [ideal] situations, I look to be able to get through a normL size sedan with a total of 2 maybe 3 towels tops + my waffle weave for the windows.

Some of my moves may seem crazy to some, but my technique is Good!

Uber could be used as a waterless, but rinseless is its goal, and Wolfgang scored big here.

Just when I though I had it all figured out you have say something like this noodle LOL. Ok I plan on using uber for the first time this weekend (mind you i have never done a rinseless or a waterless wash), I thought rinseless and waterless were the same thing. Could you tell me if the procedure below sound good?

I plan on pressure washing my truck the night before if very dirty
Next morning dry the dew with a leaf blower (gas blower)
mix uber 1.5oz to gal, stuff eagle edgeless towels to a 32oz cup and uber (you said only enough to damp, right?)
spray uber on panel and wipe from top to bottom rolling the towel as it gets dirty and eventually folding towel to a new quadrant/side.

Consoleman, that sounds like a modified waterless wash to me. The damp towels being the modified part.

Waterless washing is spraying/soaking the panel first, then wiping with a dry towel if I'm correct.

Sopping wet towels with a pre treat spray is a modified rinseless wash to me.

Rinseless washing is taking a soaking wet wash media and putting to a dry surface.

Many do some sort of modification to the process.

Most products aren't going to work too well on a damp car, add to that if the air is damp as well, cool. As far as the FrankenDetailer goes, well, its a combo of exisisting products to make a great spray wax, drop me a PM and i'll give you the recipe:xyxthumbs:

Next time you wash your car, hit it with two or three sprays per panel before you dry (waterless ratio). Not only will it amp up the gloss, but it makes the towel slide over the surface much more smoothly. No need to spray precisely. Just randomly shoot it here and there while walking around the vehicle. It's my favorite use for this product.

Same here, works great as a drying aid. Leaves it slick and definitely amps up the gloss.

lol Sorry about that. Like Mantilgh said - rinseless is from bucket to soiled area whereas waterless is spray and wipe.

Sounds like a good plan of attack. Since you're dealing with a full size truck, I do wonder if a 32oz cup would be enough to accomodate the numbers of towels you may need...haha. Maybe a gallon size ziploc or container? I'm thinking you would probably go through at least 8 towels. It's better to have too many than not enough when it comes to mf's.

You're looking at 10 wrung out rolled edges stuffed in a 1gal container. Mind you, the above is right after I've done a GD (multi-media) rinseless wash, but this would just as easily be my waterless setup had I tackled something larger (like your truck).

After that, I use Uber at the rinseless ratio to clean the car. This keeps the towels cleaner and knocks off potentially "scratchy" debris. Plus I like the look and feel of my car when it's Uber rinseless washed compared to a regular soap wash.

Go with a rinseless setup; bucket of solution + sprayer for pretreat/waterless. That way you could play around with both method and see which you prefer.

Take your time. Don't overthink and just have fun. You'll get into the flow and find your own rhythm in no time.

I usually pour about 1oz of Uber into a bucket with 3 gallons of water. ( I don't measure it out, just eyeball it from my gallon jug.) In that, I soak about 6 folded MF towels. (I push down on the towels really hard to get all the air out of them so they really soak up the mix.) The car is wet from it being hosed off first but the Uber doesn't care. It does a fantastic job! Spray down to Uber wash to waffle weave drying takes about 20 minutes start to finish.

I just had my 1st, I dunno, wow moment with the Uber? Nothing crazy, as it's nothing that's never been seen or done before..

The waterless wash just now was a breeze. Very slick and shines quite nice.
