When you are not detailing....

I use to jog but it's too hard on the joints/feet/heels/ankles for me. swimming is like cardio and light weight resistance all in one and is very underestimated IMO. to control your breathing while efficiently using your arm/legs/hips and pretty much almost most all your body is not very easy especially when trying to do it correctly. I see a lot of elderly walking & jumping up & down (they also the pool dumbbells and noodles) in the pool which is great low to no impact exercise and keeps the circulation going throughout the body which is important as we age...

Nice... I was on the swim team from 8 years old till college. Great workouts :dblthumb2:

Holy cow! Talk about hanging it on the prop! And an inverted spin and recovery that close to the ground? And I only watched the first couple of minutes.

Kyle is one of the very best - makes simultaneously controlling elevator, rudder, ailerons and throttle within inches of the ground (actually touches the tail to the ground later in the video) look easy. It's not! :dblthumb2:

Yeah, I used to know something about that stuff...back when Truman was president I think...or was it FDR?

I hope I'm not overstepping - here's a video showing what these guys can do. Simply awesome.

That's was amazing! At about 3:45 and 4:45 he taps the tail on the ground and keeps flying.

Good camera work too. A lot of people can't keep the planes in the frame and that really grinds my gears. Lol!

So, do you like to fly too or do you only build them?

Yeah, I fly 'em but not like that :D

I got into the hobby when I was about 10 - some 40 years ago - ugh. I flew some "pattern" competition as a teen and did ok but found that i was better at screwing them into the ground than winning, and I really enjoyed the building aspect.

There have been so many advances in technology it's amazing. Building is becoming somewhat of a lost art - there are MANY chinese "ARF"'s (Almost Ready to Fly) that come almost completely assembled, which makes me sad but does allow many access to the hobby that otherwise couldn't participate.

I have a backlog of customers, because I'm slow...lol But my product stands head and shoulders above the ready-made versions, if I do say so myself. :p

I think I am going to have to scan a couple of pictures when I have a chance.

Ok, now I can't resist:

Very impressive! :xyxthumbs:
You'd think being a surgeon would keep you busy enough!

I don't detail for a living, I do it on my personal vehicles to get away from being so busy with everything else.

I have three kids, and they are all in martial arts. That's three times a week. The older two just started their black belt cycle this week and should have black belts by October, if they work hard enough!

The older two also play soccer. The oldest is in a Competitive U11 girls league and she, along with my son, also play on a Recreational co-ed team. That is also three nights a week, more if there are tournaments.

So, after trying to maintain everything around the house, and once I actually get a shred of spare time, I enjoy taking care of my vehicles. I have a 1977 Cutlass Supreme that was my first car, and I have owned 23 years. I also have a 1973 442 that I have owned 15 years. I try to maintain my 2009 Acura TSX daily driver along the way.

I love playing guitar, and have six. One Les Paul, two Strats, an Ibanez Studio, one Duo Sonic and a crappy acoustic. I play mostly punk and metal, as that is what I grew up with.

I also like to hit the lake and go wakeboarding, water skiing and wake surfing. My towboat is a 1989 MasterCraft that I do my best to maintain. Most of the time though, it is used for dragging the kids around on tubes.

Man, I need some more spare time!

I am having difficulty uploading pics to the AG site, but I was able to get a few. It would have been better to have them in my initial post, but here's a little of what I was talking about...
