Which wheel cleaner?

I used it at 3:1 just like you. When it first came out CG touted that it was effective at 6:1. Tried it and nothing. They then changed it to 3:1 and still nothing. Maybe I'm just spoiled with the wheel cleaners that I currently have. :dunno:
I think I'm going to try P21S gel! :xyxthumbs: Does it foam like Diablo?

Autogeek matches promotions. Shipping for me is faster believe it or not. Weird how a package from Florida can make it to my house (WV) in 2 days but a package from New York takes 3.

I thought it would be the other way around seeing has thought NY is closer. For me if I order from DI in the morning/noon its on my door steps by the next day. So for me its like free 1 day shipping.

Yup it foams up pretty much the same. Here is a test too showcasing p21s gel's cleaning ability to diablo 2:1.

Would Griot's Wheel Cleaner be ok to use in a Home Depot spray bottle?

Ok thanks. I wanted to make sure that it wouldn't go through a ton of sprayers lol.

Alan,

I'm truly impressed....no shocked at the difference between the two. I expected the results to be much closer than what you've shown.

I have the P21s gel but haven't tried it yet. I've got to pop the wheels off my truck and give it a try! :props:

Thank you!! :props:

I have a return clients' vehicle and I thought it would be a good time to test Duragloss All Wheel Cleaner vs. Mothers Foaming All Wheel Cleaner. Process was spray on, dwell 5 minutes, rinse off. No agitation. I will be doing a complete review a little later.

P21s is some good stuff but it really shines when its given a long dwell time.

Holy cow!! Duragloss kicked butt!!! Is DG more of a spray or gel?

DG AWC is strong because it is an acid so you have to be careful with it. Its got a ph of 2-3. Thats also why it is so effective as a spray and rinse wheel cleaner.

Thanks Alan, I had no clue about the PH. I have P21S wheel gel on the way! :D

Where did you get that information? Nevermind, I found it. Very interesting.

I've spent a lot of time looking for effective wheel cleaners that are acid, ph neutral, and alkali based. :D That way I'll have a wheel cleaner for every type of wheel I might encounter.

P21S is excellent Mark. I will say this, Mothers was very effective for a non-acidic wheel cleaner. Combine this with soap & water and a Daytona SpeedMaster brush and you're good to go. I recommend Mothers because the OP is on a budget and it can be found just about anywhere, vs. ordering P21S. I still can't figure out why I have waited so long to try Mothers products?

I've heard optimum power clean is safe for any wheel finish, even un-diluted. Any experience with this?

I havent used it in a long time but its a pretty safe and effective APC. I've never any had problems using OPC 3:1 (ph of 11) on any surfaces (interior, paint, wheels) but I have never had the need to use it neat, so I can't really help you there.

Does P21S have a PH of 7?

I actually dont know and couldnt find the ph value of P21s gel. I have the msds for it but there is no information about it on there. It is widely accepted that p21s is a ph neutral an one of the safest, if not, "the" safest wheel cleaner on the market.
