Who's using apc as wheel cleaners?

I use Purple Power for the dirty jobs like wheels, exhaust tips, engine, etc. Hasn't let me down yet! I just eyeball the ratio in a cheapo unmarked spray bottle, somewhere around 5:1.

Bobby, does super degreaser work better than megs apc? I've had issues with megs apc+ not taking off all the grime on tires.

The same here and the very reason I opt for something more effective...

I find Meguiar's Super Degreaser a superb product to achieve that deep clean we all strive for.

Optimum is my favorite for general surface safeness tires, wells, wheels, trim, leather, and even paint. P21 TAW is a good general purpose cleaner safe for any surface.

Is SIMPLE GREEN ok to use on cleaning wheels? I normally just use soap and water, but I would like to try SG. Thanks for advice:)

I have not had any issues with SG's ProHD version. The container tells the recommend dilution for each surface. It cleans tires well only diluted about 6:1-5:1. Is as safe as OPC, just not recommended for use on leather, suede, unfinished wood, plastic instrument panels, opals or pearls. Works great on wheels, tires, and even carpet. And it is a deodorizer. When people speak of SG damaging surfaces it is probably because they used it full strength and let dwell on the surfaces. I actually mixed a dilution with 303AP and some waterless wash that i use on rough interiors. It's my AIO/one step interior product.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using AG Online

I use Castrol Super Clean. Mix 50/50 for wheels and 4:1 as an APC. Works great and isn't very expensive.

Blackfire APC - Straight or diluted.

Optimum Power - Straight or diluted.

Only use APC's on clear coated wheels, IMO.

Wheel products we use are CG Diablo(awesome), CG Sticky Gel, Car Products Magnum(smells like spearmint!) Sonax FE, Iron X, Tar X, and the most versatile is Optimum Power Clean. Great stuff. I have CG Grime Reaper and honestly it's garbage. Not nearly as strong as hoped it would be. Good thing I bought the 16oz bottle.

I don't care for allclean+ on tires @ 10:1 gives me a lot more work, mothers wheel and tire cleaner is phenomenal on tires I do have some tuf f shine tire cleaner I can't wait to test out, especially since they're selling their tire cleaner in a 1:1 concentrate now -- might end up replacing the mothers that I buy by the gallon

What?!! Where do they sell the concentrate? Checked AG and no luck.

honestly if we're talking all wheel cleaners, eco touch wheel cleaner is a hidden gem

I know its available, I'm not sure if AG carries it / is going to, I've talked to the tuff shine hq for several product related questions as I have their kit and want to apply it properly

Diablo is good but I found sticky wheel cleaner to blow it away in value personally

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it. I have the gallon if it and hands down the best tire cleaner around. It's a little pricey though so this concentrate is great news.

Was previously using up the last of my Sonax stash, now I'm using Wolf's deironizer for wheel cleanings.

Have used OPC in the past with good results though.

I have way too much wheel cleaner as is... i dont know how I got so much.. like wax I guess..

Has anyone tried TRIX? I find its too weak for most paint decon, but maybe for wheels it may work?

Ever since I got my new Firebird steamer I no longer need to use any chemical wheel cleaners. Steam just blasts baked on brake dust away from rims and wheels

best bang for the buck is Optimum Power Clean.

been using it for over four years - it works flawlessly at full strength for crazy grime (and cleaning really dirty tires), 1:1 through 3:1 for high grime and more dilution for pre-treatment.

i find that 3:1 on Opti-Coated wheels needs barely anything more than high pressure to remove all grime. even less if you are going to wash the wheels in a normal manner. of course the coating is a HUGE help!

it works so well for wells and rockers too. just don't let it dry on anything. i like to mist water from a sprayer to increase the working time.

i've used Sonax and P21S and they work well but are just not cost effective vs. Power Clean. like, at all.

Power Clean is great stuff. The only thing is that it's not really meant for carpets/upholstery. I wanted to find an ALL purpose cleaner, and Blackfire nailed it!

I use PC on carpets and upholstery all the time and I love it. Gentle but powerful.

Didn't realize opc had such a huge following!

I've used Trix on my wheels. It worked pretty well.
