Honestly, I've never seen a need to use any type of towel on a tire. Especially when that's why I clean with and use the chemicals that I do. The more I use Mothers Wheel Mist All Wheel Cleaner, chrome wheel cleaner, aluminum wheel cleaner, Mothers wheel cleaner and the right brush the more I'm impressed by it. Not only on what it (Mothers) does for cleaning the wheels, but how it cleans tires.
Now, I'm not saying I won't try this, rather, I've never seen a need for it. However, it does seem like a good idea for towels that are close to their last days.
Seems like I recall in a review by Corey, not too long ago, where he used and recommended using a micro-fiber towel for tires. Maybe he'll see this and chime in with his experience.
