Okay, so this should be an interesting topic.

What is your favorite "smelling" leather cleaner... and what type of car/brand does it smell like?

I'm not interesting in which one cleans the best, is least slick, or anything like that.
Lets be honest... modern leather is sealed with a poly-urethane coating and doesn't even reach the "real" leather.

So... which ones do you guys think smells the best?

I heard Griots Leather Cleaner smells good... but not sure how it smells.

I use Zaino cleaner. I can't say it smells like certain car brand though..

I like the scent of Meguiars leather conditioner off the shelf

I used Gyeon Leather cleaner the other day and it doesn't smell bad at all.

Griot's Garage. Best smelling, not overpowering and fades just enough over time. Leaves everything factory looking, no gloss or change in appearance either.

I haven't used a lot of leather products yet but my favorite smelling so far is the McKee's AIO Leather Lotion.

I love the McKee's 37 Leather shampo 70/30 based on how it smells and how it performs. All around great product!

The new McKee's 37 Leather Cleaner 70/30 is my favorite too. It's on the mild side but it's got that perfect leather scent and works amazing.

Nothing beats the brand new never been cleaned "new car", leather, plastic, carpeting, and all the other VOC's smell.

I don't mind Lexol's smell. The performance however, is not the best.

The ones i have are Griots and Adam's.

I have both in the conditioner not cleaners.

They smell similar, but Adam's is a little better and more thick, Griots is a little runnier.

Adam's also contains SPF and can be used on every surface inside the car.

Original Griot's Garage conditioner, hands down the best I've dealt with!

Interesting:

Griots = 3
McKees = 4
Others = 5

So... Griots vs McKee ?

If anyone has used both... why pick one over the other?

Zaino Z-10 is my favorite for smell. PITA to purchase. A poster mentioned that Duragloss leather conditioner (#221) was the same thing. That's sold by Autogeek, and it does indeed seem to be the same thing.

I've owned several Cadillacs over the past 20yrs. and they've all had leather interior. I've tried many leather cleaners and conditioners. I've come to the conclusion that none of them can get true leather scent quite right... I don't like my interior smelling like a cheap shoe, belt, purse, or whatever. The fake leather scent seems tacky to me.

IMO the best leather cleaner scent, hands down belongs to Meguiars D180 Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. Every customer who's car I've used this on loves the scent, even the pickiest of the pick. It doesn't smell like fake leather, it instead smells like some kind of luxury aftershave lotion. Whatever it is it smells amazing.

I've smelled Meguiars Ultimate Leather Balm in the container and have been meaning to try it. It smells good too.

I have been eyeing the Meguiars leather balm for my leather furniture

Okay... I just went to a shop that had some Griot's and smelled the Leather Care.

OMG... smells like urethane! Awful smell... nothing like "real leather" smell

Anyone know of a good leather cleaner/conditioner that smells like "real leather" ?
