Possible Spring 2014 Chicagoland Detail Day?

Hopefully one of you guys will take some pictures so we can see how it went. Biannual event? Spring and Fall -- the first and last Hurrah's of the Year?!?

Haven't had a chance to check in lately - glad to see things shaping up

I may be in the minority here, but I'm unsure why we need this?
Can someone help me understand?

Just to have someone to potentially boost attendance or atmosphere really.. It's not necessary at all but can always try :)

Not really a big deal Jeff, just with everyone showing up to the official AG Detail Boot Camp I thought it would cool if we had someone at ours, that's all. I mean if someone shows up with a cool car, great, but if not, that's good too.

Jeff, I be sure to bring your gift to the detail day, I'm sure you'll like it too!

Wish you could have came, but perhaps we can do a mini-meet sometime in the summer after the May event?

I'll bring my DSLR to the meet :)

That's very thoughtful, Roger - looking forward to seeing you again.

I'm up for hosting a subsequent mini meet, so kevincwelch can join in.

I was really looking forward to seeing the Tesla - I'm disappointed he won't be able to make it.

Where do we stand with a current head count?

IIRC when we had the copy and paste pages back we had like 10 but I'm sure we'll get more than that.

Looks like people from all over.

As a retired truck driver and now a detailer with some passion I love to travel all over and meet other detailers and share techniques. Been to Chicago Il, Evansville In 3 times, Dallas Tx. twice. Harrisburg Pa, Stuart Fl Detail Fest, Grand Rapids Mi. ( Great Lakes Chemical ) and SEMA a few times. I found out you CAN teach a old dog new tricks. LOL. I owe a shout out to Mike Phillips for starting me out on this journey and along the way adding Jason Rose, Chris Dasher (PorscheGuy997), Nick Chapman, Tom Weed, Barry Theal,Garry Dean, David Fermani. and many others that have guided me over the years.

With that CV, I would say that you more than qualify as our celebrity for this meet!
Seriously !

I agree, Paul is our celeb, anyone else that shows up is icing on the cake! Without going back I guess I was right, Paul makes 10 on the list so far. Let's also not forget the awesome cars we'll have there too!

Glad your on board for the meet soap box. If you still have any questions about maintaining your car in Midwest weather this is the thread you wanna ask in. We are all locals and know how it feels like dealing with this terrible winter.

Yeah, we're all grizzled vets of mid-west winters and this year all of our ranks have gone up a notch!
