Coated my tires today and WOW,

That is because there isn't one. He posted this in the other tire coating thread stating it's an aerosol tire dressing from Meguiar's. So more than likely something like NXT insane tire shine.
 
3 weeks later with no cleaning at all and they still look good as expected. On my front left tire, it came off just in the one spot pictured, but everywhere else is still good. Whenever I get around to washing my car, I'll add one coat to that one tire.





 
Just finishing up my first adventure with TW coatings. The trim coating is pretty easy to work with and looks great after 3 coats. I decided to remove the wheels to do the tire coating and I'm really glad I did cuz this stuff can be messy. After the tires were clean and dry I laid them flat on a table and taped off the rims which made application way easier. I went with 3 coats and quickly learned that it's better to apply in the shade when the tires are cool so that the product doesn't setup to fast. Tires look great with minimal streaking but are a little to shiny for my taste. I'll put up with glossy tires if this product turns out to be as durable as some claim. I'm really impressed by how nice the trim looks on my faded 2011 Ford Edge!!!!!
 
I guess everybody has a different version of what they think shiny is.

Has anyone tried top coating between applications of this stuff or is it just a waste of time??? Was thinking about hitting them with 303 or Natural Shine. Also, do the tires look really bad when the coating starts to deteriorate?
 
I can only comment on the later question. When the coating starts to get worn it just has less blackness showing and eventually will return the tire to it's natural state and will get brown like any other tire.

Well please report back to the group and let us know how it goes. I believe whatever the glass capability is of any product that you put on the top of Turtle Wax Tire coating is going to rear its head.

For those that want to remove the TW finish, our new TUF SHINE Tire Cleaner has been reformulated and will remove these tire coatings, including TUF SHINE's Tire Clearcoat. It may take a couple of cleaning to completely remove the coating. AG has the new cleaner in stock.

Nice to see a vendor come in with some advice.

That said, not too many of us never need to remove TW, it never peels, just fades over time. Besides that it's a rare item now so we wanna leave it on for as long as possible until something comes along to match it....if someone ever can

Thanks for the info. I guess I shouldn't be so disappointed that the TW product is nowhere to be found since I have white letters.
 
Here is a picture of my BFGoodrich a/t ta ko2 with the TW tire coating. I am going on three months and it still looks good. It's a shame they no longer sell it.
