What really grinds your gears

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, and I don't care. Carry on.

EDIT: What grinds my gears? Members like you who make me realize I have better uses of my time than hanging out on internet forums.

That is not true and will be self-evident when you reply to this or some other thread in the next 15 minutes

Doesn't bother me at all when people say someone or something isn't "worth their time", especially when no one was paying them in the first place

Why aren't you at the gym with Schwarzenegger or with one of your really hot female friends? Me and my friends here in the assisted living only wish we could live your L.A. lifestyle, but all we can do is live vicariously through you. You are my hero, please don't be mean to me.

I think most of us know that feeling all too well.

How bout when you park in the very back of the parking lot, miles away from everyone else, and you come back to your car with some ********* parked right on top of you despite the fact there's a million empty spots to choose from :bash:

This reminds me of a funny road trip story when I was about 15. My pap grandma uncle cousin and me all drove from pgh to Oklahoma in a ford ltd. My pap stopped at night to take a break in an empty shopping lot and a guy pulled right next to us. He went off, this ******* has to pull right next to us in an empty lot. My gram said be quiet Ralph his window is down. My pap just kept going. I don't give a ***** if he hears me.

One of those moments you just had to be there

What grinds my gears is when a good forum starts going off the rails. AGO was a place where people could agree and agree to disagree respectfully.

It seems in the last 3 weeks or so, the forums have degenerated into bickering, taking posts out of context, and personal attacks.

Father Flaiger (spelling, who cares) here in Chicago. Anytime there's a racial issue this guys infront of the camera and adds an "accent" when he talks but other times he's infront of the camera talking about something else, the "accent" isn't there:mad:

I've never heard this guy so mad about all the perverted priests that got away with what they did for years!!

Sorry to get so heavy about all this but THIS GUY GRINDS MY GEARS TO THE UPTEENTH DEGREE!!!

To stay "on-topic" per the OP's off-topic thread...

A real gear-grinder of mine is
The Riemann Zeta Function.

Just a quick reminder to try and keep language PG rated .... forum software will try and *** out the use of bad language. We want everyone to enjoy the forum. Thanks for your attention ...

Now back to OFF-TOPIC -----)

When my Doctor says I have to go on a:
"Staple diet"...eating staple-foods... :dunno:

Staplers!
Don't know why, they've just always freaked me out!

Neighbors who do not remove leaves from their yard after they have fallen and then it gets windy and blows their leaves into my just-cleaned yard.

people who have 30+ items when they decide to check out in the express lane with 15 items or less. then there's always some price discrepancy on an item (or two) and then it holds the line back even longer and that's while they're talking on the cell phone and tell the cashier, "hold on a minute". get off the phone while someone is trying to help you. absolutely rude!

if i saw that phone thing happening, i'd tell them to get off the phone. customer to customer. and they would, i promise.

Where I work, people call and then put the receptionists on hold. Crazy, right?

this day and age you have to be careful what you say to people. next thing you know, you go out to the parking lot and someone tries to jump you or pull out a knife or gun. i have to bite my tongue even though i would love to say something sarcastic.

btw, people who eat food in the store before paying for it and most of the time will dispose of the food wrapper and/or drink in the aisle somewhere and never even pay for it. many parents don't set a good example and are guilty of this. if you haven't paid for it yet, it's not yours...

Local "Rockstars" - especially when they don't understand the rudiments of their instrument...

hang up on them, there was a "bad connection" lol...

They are also the people who send in bad customer service surveys. Where I work everyone gets a complementary car wash and vacuum with their service. They then complain because we didn't also clean the inside of the glass, wipe down the dash, clean the seats, etc. Or remove 100% of their baked on brake dust that's probably hasn't been touched in over a year.

unfortunately, people no how to push buttons until they get what they want and have it down to a science...

btw, if you ever visit the inland empire in southern california, stay away from san bernardino and moreno valley to name a few ghetto cities...

oh, i get it. you're right. but i'm usually willing to take that risk, especially if they are acting like that. of course it depends on the situation. if the person is totally ignorant and looks one comment away from becoming unhinged, i'll let it pass. but telling people when they are being unreasonable or rude is the one good thing i can do with my size...speak up for others who are thinking something but are nervous about doing something about it.

dude i'm not the police but the second example i'd also call them out, hahaha. maybe it's because i live in a relatively civilized area and i can't stand when a sore thumb presents itself, lol.

i've been told i'd do well on that What Would You Do show.
