 That's going to look sweet! Wonder if I can get something similar for my HHR?

Mark I OC my exhaust on the Harley well actually the mufflers so far no problems if you like I can take a temperature reading so you have something to compare it too when you install your exhaust .

Thanks bud, but you don't have to do that for me. ;)

If you can, do it before they get installed - would be much easier......
That's my plan.

Mark, those tips are titanium (not stainless) and dry carbon fiber. The rest of the system is stainless steel. I had the same setup on my ZO6 as well.

Watch the tips, since they are dry and not cleared they are somewhat porous. I just wiped/washed mine down with a mild detail spray/ONR mix and they were good to go. The titanium centers only get a little soot/carbon build up on them, depending on if you are cammed or not, and clean up easily, again with a mild DS/ONR mix.

Just some info for ya!

Just got this off one of their pdf's

MAINTENANCE OF THE AKRAPOVIČ EXHAUST SYSTEM:

1. Clean the titanium exhaust components with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (WD-40 or equivalent), carbon fiber exhaust components with soft and dry cloth and stainless steel components with soft cloth sprayed with contact cleaner, then wipe with soft and dry cloth. A change in the color of the exhaust system is normal due to high temperatures.

2. Periodically make sure all the bolts and springs are sufficiently tight.

WARNING: clean all exhaust components before the first start of the engine or the stains will burn onto the surfaces!

IT IS NORMAL IF WHITE SMOKE COMES OUT OF THE MUFFLER ON FIRST OPERATION.

DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE MUFFLER ON FIRST OPERATION.

DO NOT USE AUTOMOTIVE WHEEL CLEANERS OR ANY CLEANING PRODUCTS WHICH CONTAIN ACIDIC ADDITIVES TO CLEAN AKRAPOVIČ EXHAUST SYSTEMS.

absolutely first class. bet the sound will be even better than stock which is bad ass to start. how far out into the desert do you go just to run your vette? pasadena freeway must be a bummer. might look into the tips for my caddy too.

Hey guys, I actually decided against this exhaust system. I was a bit concerned it would be aggressive enough, and also, while the carbon fiber tips look GREAT, they're 4.5" and when on the car, they just look too big! I went with the Borla ATAK exhaust system. Beautiful 4" SS tips and the volume/tone is awesome, with minimal drone! :dblthumb2:

I am assuming you will still Opti-Coat the Borla exhaust. Enjoy the sound! :dblthumb2:
