I like optimum polish II as I have had great results with it. I change to a cutting pad and I can get out most swirls. Polishing pad and it leaves the surface looking like glass. No fillers is a plus as well.
I'd try to hit it with Dawn and tons of water after to soak it all up. the only issue is the oil probably seeped its way through the carpet. On my own car, if it was close to an edge, I would lift my carpet and clean both sides as well as the floor panel.
