With a combo of 1500 and 2500 you can work small miracles! 1500 will level both scratches and texture quite quickly so I'd recommend starting with 2500 first and proceed from there. If you really do need to go with 1500 it's a great idea to finish with the 2500 by cross cutting over the 1500...
