Not necessarily. I use "Normal" tire dressings, but might use this every other month or so to be certain I got off all the old dressings, and get a deep clean of the tires to really be able to get a fresh start.

How safe is this cleaner on wheels because I'm sure some of the overspray would get on them during the tire cleaning? I have some wheels with curb rash and the beginnings of clear coat failure and am wondering if this would affect those areas?

If waxing makes you happy go for it! The only thing I will say, is that the more you touch/wipe your paint the more chance of inducing swirls. BTW nice car, looks great!

Mine fell apart as well but did so more "Cleanly" than yours. The whole epoxy block holding the hair fell out of the handle. I used super glue to get it back in and it seems to be holding up.
