    Bought a Light - Depressed

To me this is a good example of how the sun really doesn't show as much as some people think. In my experience and opinion, halogens and LED (at the proper angles) are far better at showing flaws than sunlight.

BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax 7

Spread it as thin as possible. If you have a machine use that to spread a thin even layer. Just do a panel or two at a time then wipe off.

40 Professional detailers join forces to preserve American history!

Awesome work! It was a long time ago so I don't exactly remember the full story of why it was there, but at my first base assignment we had one of those old presidential C-135's pass through once. The crew chiefs were out hand polishing the metal it in their blues when I saw it. After seeing...

    CarPro Eraser - Video Review

Sweet! I'm glad that you liked it because I ordered a bottle with my last order and plan on using it this weekend. I've used various strengths of IPA, Optimum Power Clean and even the two mixed, to remove polishing oils, so I'm looking forward to see how Eraser performs. :)

    coatings ?

Both are easy to apply. I've applied both several times now. CQuartz is more of a traditional method. Apply, let it sit for a little while, then buff off with microfiber towels. It can be layered like traditional waxes and sealants as well. All though you are suppose to get around 2 years...

    Review: CarPro PERL

Great write-up as always! I have both PERL and UTTG and like both but need to experiment more with both. One thing I notice, is it seems that UTTG tends to attract dust. Anyone else notice this? I'm very curious how the layering will affect the durability of PERL!

Black Audi A5, paint correction & Opti-Guard coating: Rasky's Auto Detailing

Wow! Great job! :dblthumb2: What I really liked is, the owner not only wanted the car looking great but wanted to learn proper wash/dry technique so he could keep it looking great. :props:

    Megs MF DA System Problem

+1 I know a lot of people don't have air but if you can get it, it's very worth while. I only use air to clean my foam pads now too. The pad brush is too harsh and rips the foam apart at times and using a towel doesn't seem to get the pad as clean as I'd like and takes longer.

Ariens Deluxe 30" Snowblower and Opti-Coat

I don't know about ride, but it can definitely drag me to town. Lot of torque. I wouldn't call it boredom, more curiosity. My brother thought it was a great idea. Anything to try to prevent getting packed snow from building up anywhere inside of it. With the last two winters Florida has...

Ariens Deluxe 30" Snowblower and Opti-Coat

The last two winters here dumped a ton of snow and couple that with the wind, I ended up battling 34" inch drifts that were up to 25 feet long. So last year I bought a big Ariens snowblower with upgraded Subaru SX30 engine and it worked wonderfully. I then decided that today I would...

    Review: CarPro Tar X

Sweet! I have Stoners Tarminator but the stuff literally makes me sick if I get a good whiff of it. My next order will have to include some Tar X.

My Poorboy's DMT's have started to lint...

I've had my DMT's a year now with no linting. I'm reluctant to try the the rolled edge Cobra towels because ALL of my Cobra MF's only last a few washes before either falling apart, linting, or matting and becoming very rough feeling.

Best sealant that DOESN'T attract dust?

CQuartz does a very good job at not attracting dust like standard sealants and waxes. CQuartz Ceramic Quartz Paint Protection, CQuartz nano coating, nano paint sealant

CQuartz 3.5 month update with vids

I will also be applying Opti-Coat 2.0 to my wife's car either this month or next to compare. I've applied it to several cars, just not any I own, so I'm curious how they both stack up in the long haul. :)

CQuartz 3.5 month update with vids

I put CQuartz on my Ford Flex (including glass and wheels) back on May 3rd so I figured I'd post some videos of how it's holding up. I thought it would be a good way to show how easy it is to clean as well. Some things I've noticed with it, is how the car stays cleaner longer and it isn't...
