Having collected flashlights and detailed cars for most of my life, I can assure you that a quality flashlight will do the exact thing as a flashlight with a "Swirl Finder" sticker slapped on the side.
Looks good!
While I think all these companies releasing these headlight repair kits are remiss if they don't include a permanent sealant to replace the clear coat, I think the 3M kit is the most effective one in terms of getting the lenses clear again.
Well, grease is hydrophobic, but, as I remember well from my youth and wearing good old Murray's Pomade, it tends to magnify the sun's rays. Soooooo, yeah. ;)
Lookin good!
I wish I had the funds to collect 850 Rs! I've got a '96 GLT wagon and my DD is an '05 S60 T5. Did he do the auto/manual swap? As far as I know there weren't any 850s with turbos that came the U.S. with manuals.
I leave lubrication to customers and just gently clean with APC, but for our cars I power wash the crap out of them and soak them in lithium grease. Doesn't look good, but I've never had a squeaky hinge in any of my cars.
