If I remember correctly it isn't much different than VW/Audi dash. It's a textured vinyl glued over a foam. A mild cleaner with a warm damp cloth finished with a low gloss protectant would be perfect IMO.

good job on the R! That DBP color is a detailer's dream. Especially on a rare icon like the R32. I've come real close to buying more than one of those.

don't put simple green on it! You need a gentler cleaner with more elbow grease. The Lexus IS is a real nice interior but it does have lots of different color clash and different textures. Gloss, soft, hard, smooth, tan, dark. Meg's interior cleaner would be good or woolite/water 20:1

Thanks for the comparison Mark. It's crazy to read normal DA beats forced DA! Reminds me of a while back when someone said "my PC using the KB method has my rotary sitting on the shelf". I really need to test this system out!

I wouldn't use a sealant to prime pads with. a spritz of distilled water or some ONR QD is what I use. I would still get the aqua wax though but use it as a maintenance sealant and for selaing your wheels, windows etc. Too good of a product for pad priming.

Try a mix of ONR QD mixed with predilluted OID! I use it a lot for door jams, trunk crevices etc... same ONR cleaning ability with a slick glossy surface. Also good as a QD. for when OID gets streaky.

I've also never seen a forum that gets so many dedicated threads solely based on wanting to share the top notch service you experienced. On a small car I tend to use between 6-8 oz with DP waterless and no less than 3 MF towels (typically 530's). I just picked up a Tahoe and expect to probably use about 10 oz per wash and probably 5 towels. I adjust the sprayer to where it wastes the least amount of product.

yee-haw!!! Ok Maybe I won't use it on the tahoe. This might have to be more of a keepsake signed by an auto care icon!
