2004 Chevy SSR - Extreme Makeover by Blackfire - Modeled by Tasha

I always love seeing the results on any vehicle that has black paint. This came out amazing!!! And it looks like it was another fun night.

On another note...WELCOME to Autogeek Tasha! You did a great job modeling the car. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of you....so with that...sit back, relax, strap on your seat belt cause this here AG and AGO is one heck of a ride!

Tasha, welcome to the asylum :welcome:

Adam....looks like you have clearcoat failure on that dome

I'm way past clear coat failure

We now know what he uses to get that shine! Handy to know you can get a spit-shine with Flitz! :D

Problem is I only have 6 Swirl Girls... I need 6 more...

I have 4 more girls on-call for future projects...

You just leave no stone unturned in your effort to make me aware I was born 30 years too early. :(

Everything is kept on a professional business level.

:xyxthumbs:

I do believe I may have uttered those same words once. Right before the handcuffs went on...

Curious timing on those zebra shoes, by coinkydink a zebra-striped buzz-bomb pulled up at the next island today while I was pumping dead dinosaurs in the tank. I asked the kid if it was a wrap and he held up a roll of 2" zebra striped duct tape. The WHOLE car! Wish I would've gotten a picture, it covered the dents and rust quite nicely.

Hey everyone! Thanks for welcoming me to the 'Swirl Girls!' Max runs a top notch operation at Autogeek and I had a blast working with Mike and the rest of the guys on the 2004 Chevy SSR project. Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures! :-)

Your Welcome Tasha! Hope to see more of you modeling/Swirl Girl'n around AutoGeek.:props: It's nice to see another brunette added to the team.

And great job on the SSR everyone!:dblthumb2: It's amazing how something that didn't look bad from afar, now looks 10x better up close. Thanks Mike for inviting such great people with great vehicles to AG and allowing us all to learn from these transformations.

nice work on the paint, i like the look of the SSR's but i hate the ride and the comfort of one.im wondering when you polish out a car do you give the owners a course on how to maintain their car after being polished? i bet you do just wondering....keep up the good work. wish i lived closer to come to these makeovers. i think us detailers only use the words make over without getting funny looks!

You > than the car, and the car looks GREAAAATTTT!!!!

Welcome, Tasha!

So I guess this means I didn't get the spot as the new "Swirl Guy"...Damn, I thought I did pretty well, ha. :dunno:

You think the Swirl Girls will ever be on BOGO? lol :dblthumb2:

Wow, you guys sure know how to make a 'Swirl Girl' feel welcomed! It was a BLAST to model this car and I look forward to future projects with the AG family! I was proud to christen the 5 1/2 inch zebras in the AutoGeek garage! ;-)

Nice work everyone. You really brought that SSR back to life!

And love the new swirl girl! Great work all around.

Rawrrrr... Definitely love the new swirl girl! I've got a thing for brunettes. :p

Awesome results guys! It's an unforgiving color on unforgiving paint with an absolutely amazing curvy body. (and yes, I'm talking about the car and not the swirl girl) I love cars that have angles like that. It really gives the products an opportunity to blow your mind with reflections. Outstanding job guys!

Great team you got there!!!

Seriously. I'm always impressed with the high caliber of people that the car detailing world attracts. I met Rene because he was looking for a way to remove bird dropping etchings from his 2011 Camaro and now we've become good friends and he's turned out to be machine when it comes to detailing cars, the guy just won't settle for anything less than perfection.

Adam is as reliable as rain no matter what the task and then he finds all the little things that need to be done and does them without asking...

Kyle is as good as Rene. Kyle attended both of my classes and like me he simply has a passion for making things shiny...

Robert is solid as rock when it comes to anything detailing related. What's really cool is anytime you see Robert here keep in mind he's already been detailing cars since early in the morning, like the Eveready Bunny, he just keeps on going, and going and going,

Todd, what can I say, Todd has a stellar reputation when it comes to machine polishing.

The above are the regulars but everyone else is just as passionate, Tommy, Steve, Hector, Scott, Ron, Dave, Jeff, etc.

High caliber people = professional quality results and a lot of fun too!

Where do you find all these pretty girls to model for you guys? :props:

Just when I'm out and about... minding my own business...

Tasha, did you get to polish the car too?

The Swirl Girls tend to show up after the heavy lifting is done but in the future I'll let them know they are completely welcome to arrive for the actual buffing part.

Do note that Nicole attended with her Dad Tommy and she did learn how to machine polish and was very good at it too...

I'm confident I can get Tasha to help out with a future project, she can show Kyle, Rene, Adam and Robert how it's done....

:poke:

I think you got the job but it was on some other forum... :D

You think the Swirl Girls will ever be on BOGO? lol :dblthumb2:

I don't think so... just the products they showcase...

Wow, you guys sure know how to make a 'Swirl Girl' feel welcomed!

Nice article and cool vehicle. Depending on the year you could have a 6 speed and 400 HP courtesy of the LS2 Corvette motor......all while driving with the top up or down. What more could you ask for?

Nothing wrong with the ride IMHO unless you want sportscar handling and feel.

Wow! That truck turned out great. I'm a wee bit envious of HarleyGuy for having the opportunity to work with Mike on sooooo many nice auto's.

While the reflection on this door shot is awesome...

...the look in these eyes takes the cake. Absolutely love this photo of you Tasha! It just seems like a very natural shot. Best looking avatar on the forum, for sure!

Welcome to our forum Tasha. Look forward to seeing your smile from time to time.

While you're getting this modeling opportunity don't forget to cash in on some of Mike Phillips's knowledge while you're at it. Both are experiences no one can take away from you, and they will benefit you in the future.

Kachow!!!

I agree. I go retro with a 1975 Jimmy, same idea only 4x4 but yeah, convertible truck with lots of power.

Hey thanks for the plugs over on SSRFanatic.com

We're really going into crunch time with the shooting of our TV show just 30 days away. There might be a few Thursdays we don't have a project car but when possible we will.

:)

One day I'll make it down with my TSX just for Nick.
