Please elaborate, which of the products have you used? Links to posts?
You better stock up where you can, they don't make it anymore...
why does AG need to remove this, they won't don't be silly. And don't be a hall monitor either.
Why is this repeated all the time? From what I can tell, it's still available.
I have traveled 3 counties, 20+ stores with many names, and it was in the clearance bin at every single one of them, mostly 50% off. Most stores told me they no longer will stock it. This has followed the same path to extinction that their rinse less wash has previously. So for you, it must be that no one uses it in your area, thus it's available. I hope I am wrong but all things tell me I am not. The thread for this product also point to availability problems.
I hear you, but last time I read this, almost a year ago, I went real fast and bought some at that river place. It's still there, it's sill on the TW website, etc. I've seen it at Wal-Mart. It doesn't seem like it's going anywhere.
You are referring to the kit with tire cleaner, applicator, coating, and glove correct.
Don't be so sure, you were gone for a while, the Admin/Moderation staff has changed.
What do you mean by LOOONNGG? In my experience, TW coating lasts a year. For the first 6 months you have a deep black of just dressed tire look, afterwards it starts to fade but at the same time on the next year it still looks better than an non-dressed tire. Are you getting better results with McKee's ? If so can you give us a time frame for look and durabiliy?
Thanks!
Are you talking about the Turtle wax T-12KT jet black endura-shine tire coat kit, that is no longer being sold?
That's pretty good. I only got 2 months out of TW on my car that is daily driven. DP Tire Coating actually lasted a little longer than TW. There was still some coating at the 4 month mark on my daily driver. I can see both products lasting a year on a car that is garaged and rarely driven. For example my Camaro has Blackfire Tire Gel on it and it's been on the car for almost 3 months. The reason being I only drive it every now and then.
In addition I don't have to worry about any of the black TW product staining my wheels as DP/McKee's goes on clear and is easier to clean up if it does get on the wheel. It also has a slightly longer working time over TW. I haven't touched the TW stuff in quite sometime as I have gone to DP Tire Coating.
It also takes more work to remove DP tire coating. Especially if it's fresh. TW can easily be cleaned with a tire cleaner.
This is just my experience with both products.
