Anything Better the Turtle WAx Endura Tire Shine?

So it's been said that McKee's is actually DP tire coating, is so has it been reformulated to be "new and improved". If not it's like comparing a Town and Country and Routon, same thing, different label.

It's not that it's "been said", PBMG has unequivocally stated that the Pinnacle XMT and DP lines were combined into the McKee's 37 line. Some of the products disappeared, some were carried over unchanged, some were reformulated, and some new products were created. My recollection is the tire coating was carried over unchanged.

IT official, same tire coating, different name....hmmm😏

Has AG ever stated the reason WHY they don't offer it here on the site?

Maybe it has some ingredients in it that AG doesn't agree with? Maybe some stuff that isn't good for the surface of the tires?

It's simple, because Turtle Wax is in the same boat as Armor All. Pick a reason...

How does any car-care product manufacturer
motivate a reseller to carry their Brand/Line?

•Doubt very seriously if that's the reasons:
-There's some chemicals in the containers...
-All we're talking about here are commodities.

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents on what I now use. I love using 303 protectant on my tires! Water based, strong UV protectant, nice matt finish, repels dirt. I love this stuff!!

I use 303 on tires for customers that ask for no tire dressing so they keep clean looking for longer. I was wondering whether that new 303 Trim Restorer that is supposed to last a year will work on tire rubber too.

I'm on my third 16oz bottle of the DP Tire coating. It's much easier to use. I think it works as well as the TW one. I didn't care for the viscosity or black tint with the TW one.

Sounds like we may to come up with an acronym decoder for all the 'bad words' for other stores and brands that the moderators won't allow us to use anymore. So we don't have to sound like idiots speaking in codes trying to avoid censorship.

Here's the official words:

McKee’s 37 is the culmination of Detailer’s Pro Series and XMT Car Care. We took the very best from each line and added several all-new products along the way.

With as much time as I have invested in McKee's 37, I almost feel like I could call it my own. I'm here to answer any question you have about any McKee's 37 product. :)

Was the formula for the tire coating reformulated as well? How does it now compare to DP Tire Coating? I'm a fan of the DP tire Coating.

Minor tweaks were made to Tire Coating so it doesn't become "coagulated" with extreme variances in temperature (ie: shipping from sunny Florida to freezing cold Akron Ohio).

Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the idea of a black tire coating (for cleanup and oops! reasons), but my curiosity got the best of me at the substantially lower price point. By the time I get around to using mine I won't be able to get any more, anyway, so it's kind of a moot point.

As far as the moderation, it seems to me that the mods don't go hunting around for that stuff, but if someone reports the thread then they will likely enforce the rules.

Thanks Setec👍👍

That said, until that product is improved or something else is made as far as tire coating is concerned, I will continue to use TW, I have 5 full bottles as well as 2/3 rds of another bottle I'm using right now, so I'm good to go for years.

Yeah, this stuff is going to be kind of hard to pass up on the clearance shelf for $1.99 as someone else posted. I wonder if it will make it to Big Lots? Although I told myself I would never do that again.

One that lasts is the challenge.

...and doesn't sling either, something tire coatings in general don't do. So that said, the 205 search results have their work cut out for themselves, oh wait, I mean 204 search results, one of them is McKee's and I'm sure it doesn't sling as its a tire coating as well.

Ok, I was in Autozone, Target and Walmart tonight, nothing in AZ or Target, I went to the Walmart clearance aisle and they had three beat up boxes of the trim coating, but no tire coating. They do still show it online at Walmart and of course at the A place. So you guys convinced me this is going the way of the dodo, but there is still some around (online) if you look for it.

Hey Kevin I was thinking, maybe we could meet up for lunch at Real Urban BBQ in Vernon Hills so I or you could apply the TW tire coating to the tires of the Tesla? Maybe we could make a mini-meet out of it💡💡

Just wanna be clear about something, here's those "shiny" tires after about 2 weeks and driving in the rain and multiple car washes. As you can clearly see, the tires have a nice sheen and it's in direct sunlight.

That's a good photo to show the black acrylic hue from the coating.

I will admit that the black tint in TW tire coating does factor in its looks but the bottom line is this, the product is easy to use, dries quickly, allows for a 2nd layer in 10 minutes, leaves a nice sheen and lasts for monthes on a daily driver.

This was another great product by Turtle Wax but unlike their rinseless wash effort, this product was cost effective compared to its competition. I wonder what TW is working on next that will be great only to be poorly marketed and pulled off of the shelves😏

Here is what it looked like on mine 109 days in and about half of it was during winter.
