Coated my tires today and WOW,

A non foam paint brush is all I use to apply dressings or coatings on tires.

With the TW coating I think there's a fairly high risk of spatter when using a paint brush. The included applicator works well for me until it starts to break down after about six sets of tires. One thing I've noticed that seems prolong its useful life: stick it in a ZipLoc freezer bag right after using it and squeeze out most of the air before sealing it, then wipe off any coating that gets on the outside of the bag. The coating doesn't cure in the sponge and the sponge tends to stay more flexible, longer.

Yep, and they're almost always on sale at B&M discount chain stores.

I also do this and am able to reuse the applicator many more times

I forgot to mention it here but I picked up a TW tire coating kit last weekend @ Kmart for $10.00. I've been going about 3 weeks between applications to keep up a good base and to maintain "the look" I like. I know it's been out for a while but I've turned a couple on to this product and they just can't believe it!

Whoa... May have to try and find it at Kmart for that price....

the only thing I dislike about the TW tire coating is it bleeds on to my rims sometimes but other than that I like it a lot, refresh it ever so often, say 3-4 weeks. if I lived in a dryer area I could see this stuff lasting 6-8 weeks

It dries in 10 minutes, so not sure it bleeds out, is it possible you got some on the edge of the rim? I ask because I do this and need to buy some boards to drive up on to make it easier.

In regards to the contact of the wheel and tire i will apply the product with the applicator provided w/o touching the wheel, and then go back with those cheap foam wedged shaped paint applicators to finish out.

DG 501 will clean up the coating in my experience.

Klasse, do you find this stuff difficult to use below the recommended temperature? I have in terms of applying it to an uncoated tire, but I haven't tried on my coated tires.

I have not applied it in below 60 degree temperature.

My local kmarts have these kits on sale for $7! Ivd bought 3 just to have. Used it on my winter wheels/tires and so far really great success. I may never use a traditional tire dressing again.

Also have been talking photos to see how they hold up..

Picture one was after initial coating. Photo of the when on the car was the first cleaning after a month, only scrubbed the tires with car soap and leaf blown dry. This is after nearly 20 inches of snow and one month of daily driving, first wash. Not too bad at all!

Orileys has it under $8 with out tax. Giving it a try at that price.
