"G R E A T" Idea for next contest

Optimum has mold

Or so I am told.

What's a hand to do,

when feeling a little blue?

Put the next order on hold!

j/k my favorite line.

Have a great day... gotta go. Here's one for the road.

Maintenance wash day there is no time

An hour to go, set up and be primed

Showered and coffee and a large bowl of grits

Gotta get my hustle on when the weather permits

At the end of the day many finishes sublime

Happy detailing hand

Too bad nobody's reading this stuff!

Never fear, my AGO forum friend.
My ear to your posts I do lend.
And without doubt you can probably tell;
I'm no longer in any work-place called hell.
I've also no money to spend!

Kool-aid

Too bad nobody's reading this stuff!

Its already got 922 hits and growing! There is A LOT of inside fun going on here! First, there are many that are going "mad/nuts/crazy" when this post keeps bumping to the top! Secondly, there are others that find limerick skills entertaining!

Finally, there are many that would love to show their limerick skills; but they are a little shy...hopefully they will come along!

In any event...its fun! Thanks everyone for their "wicked" limerick skills!

The name Turtle doesn't "Strike Up the Band".
Hard to believe it's called the worst in the land.
Just trying to remove the hazing from their cleaner-wax,
Why even Schwarzenegger's muscles would be taxed!
And alas!...No more Maria to lend him a hand.

:D

Man you guys are cracking me up. But you were right about this being on my mind throughout the day. Heres one that came to mind as i was cleaning some nasty wheels today.

Dull ,grey, pitted, and flaked

weathered, worn, and woefully caked

apc , brushes, various sandpapers increase

seems like hours of rubbing and much elbow grease

Bling, luster, and reflectivity waked

My Buds Vegas and Funx are cool

Their limericks are genius they rule

Their posts get this thread to the top

making the veterans hot

so dont be haters cuz that would be cruel

This is funny stuff on so many levels!

Glad to know.I hope to improve at this. Appreciate constr/criticism.

Yeah hand ,I think so, too. Here's another little ditty:

Beautiful days like today won't last

winter snow and ice for me are forcast

The OCD in me says "what the hay"

polish and buff, then wipe most the day

wishing bleak winter days shall be past

Yo Vegas....we are near 1000 views...of course 95% of them are you, me and Funx.......anyhow, I hope you are thinking up a special Limerick to commemorate the historic 1000th view.

I got to fly out for some errands now...I'll check back later!

If I dare ask:
When is a limerick, not a limerick so much?

You've heard of the process vulcanization.
Can't be all that makes run-flat tires a sensation?
I've heard if you run over a nail,
The tire, they say will not fail.
Can't think of another rhyming word but: "Bacon-Nation".

Note:
Hear Ye, Hear Ye...Folks...Now's a most opportune moment to join in and cheer for: "The Bacon-Nation"...America's Foremost Limerick Team!

Funx725- Bacon was right. You do seem to take it to another level. Cracking me up. Great call out to the AG peeps.

It' your thread, I'll leave it to you.

A wax to whet your appetite ?

An lsp deemed to be dynamite.

What product you may exclaim,

can live up to it's name ?

That wax... 845 by Collinite.

Good morning AGO,as usual-I'll give it a go:

For windshield correction there's Diamondite.

For soft clear coats? Dodo's Lime Prime Lite.

So, what does one chose,

On lower panels full of goo?

Tarminator fits the bill just right.

An incorporation, to some degree, of Tundra_10's:
01.26.2012 "new word of the day"...Parsimonious.

Tho' some AGO members may seem to be miserly;
But when asked they state: "We're are only acting wisely".
They add: So don't go about throwing us "under the bus",
We have our reasons for being parsimonious:
Just awaitin' AGO's sales, that's when we act lasciviously!

:D

^^ LOVE IT! lol

My sentiment exactly. FUNX725 your last post forced me to come up with this:

Funx725 seems a master wordsmith;

he is not one to easily compete with.

A virtual 787- aeronautically speaking,

Makes me what? I am thinking.

More than likely, a lowly sopwith.

Funx, you have definitely taken it to another level by combining the two ideas as suggested.

Upped the ante so to speak. Guess I'll have to find a lower limit table.

Great work hand.

-Thanks V.T., for your kind words.

-I must confess and I'll admit:
This is so much: FUN

-Conversely, though, I'm compelled to reciprocate:

I remember the WWI stories my Grandpa used to tell.
Like watching our fighter pilots, as from the sky they fell.
Then an aircraft builder named Sopwith, came upon the scene.
His "Camels" changed the course of history...Frenchmen said Beauchene!
I saith, then, V.T.'s indeed a sopwith...'tis a fact...no one can dispel.

As I have previously mentioned in other threads, detailing is a relaxation to me, I have other hobbies and I do work out but there is something just a little different with making your vehicle all nice and sparkly. I get an almost nostalgic/ reminiscent feeling of the day I brought it home.

That being said, when done washing it I realized I had a screw in one of my $350 tires. Not much more short of a new scratch or chip could have been more of a buzz-kill for me to end my relaxation period.

With that being said I figured maybe a limerick would ease the frustration as I pick all the black, sticky stuff from my fingers, residue from the plug I just put in.

Why did this have to happen to my beautiful truck
These plugs are so sticky, what's in this black muck
Somehow I found this long screw along my way
Its a simple fix, will do it myself, otherwise I'd have to pay
This kind of stuff makes me want to scream "What the f*@k!"

Sorry to hear this...Glad you got it fixed, though.

My forum friend Tundra_10 life's so contented, from my point of view.
His relaxation comes from detailing, his hobbies, to name a few.
What a way for his peaceful day to be disrupted,
By a carpenter that can only be described as corrupted.
For not only was Tundra_10's tire punctured, He too got the screw.

:)
